My prized catch on a rainy day: a Bowfin on the fly! I worked so hard for this fish because the water had become so muddy. But after a few hours I finally got one to bite

Caught my very first Bowfin, it was a great little scrap. Though it looked like something else had taken a go at him already, missing part of his back tail. But after investigating this strange creature I released him back in the water, I wish him the best of luck to escape all of the bow hunters around here
