Isn't it interesting that when Mettaton is in box form, his overworld sprite is very animated but his battle sprite barely moves? And in his EX form, it's completely the other way around. Very expressive and showy in battle, but stands still in overworld. BUT I LOVE HIS EVERY SPRITE

Headcanon that the box is 6'7, EX is 8'3 and NEO about 9' plus they're all really freaking heavy. At least 500 pounds. Idk why but I like my Mettaton big.

I'm sorry but consider: humans on the surface disliking Mettaton's EX form. They might still like the box, but EX creeps people out because it's in the uncanny valley. Mettaton would be heartbroken - he considers EX his true form, plus he would have expected humans to love it. I'm sorry
