Q: while the negotiations were going on, at any moment did you imagine yourself not racing and if you did what kind of life would you have?

LH: not during this contract, not during this negotiation. i was moving forward with intention and i knew what i wanted to do and where i wanted to be, and how i wanted it to go. but there's definitely been moments that i've sat, whether it's like at christmas looking over the mountains thinking about what would be the next stage.

i dream of lots of different things. i don't feel like i need much. the dream is to be living on a beach in a wooden shack, kind of like a cabin sort of thing, with a hammock and my surfboard and roscoe (🥹) i really love surfing so getting up everyday and going surfing at sunrise and sunset and then doing whatever work i have in between, is kind of the ultimate dream down the line and obviously family.

and then having some sort of business that's impacting people in a positive way. and continuing to work on giving back, because i think i've been so fortunate that my career and my life have given me so much and i'm in a very very fortunate position now to be able to help and give back to those who need it most. there's so much work to do in so many different realms. i can't do everything, but i can do a lot. so, i'll try my best.
