This is just comedy gold.
"The secretary of education is essentially responsible running a $1 trillion bank. Do you have any direct experience in running a bank?"
"Senator, I do not,"
"OK.So no experience."
"That's a federal civil rights law."
"So do you stand by your statement a few minutes ago that it should be up to the states whether to follow it?"
"Federal law must be followed where federal dollars are in play.”.
"So were you unaware what I just asked you about the (law)? That it was a federal law?"
"I may have confused it.”
Honestly, this is all so terrifying and yet hilarious at the same time. WTF are we gonna do these next four years? At least all the comedians will have jobs :)
TCM is showing a movie about Russian women right now. The Fountainhead, based on Ayn Rand’s book, will be on later today, and they’re getting tons of attention because the’re going to show A Face in the Crowd, a movie about a con man using the media to become famous for his insane political opinions. This needs to become the new channel of La Revolution.
Watch the new season of Voltron on Netflix instead of the inauguration!
There were more people marching in this parade than watching it.

I know they say you have to be a Nielson family to count in the ratings - but that is BS - that system was way back when they mailed out questionnaires. They know and track what is on every set.
From Neilson:
“Our capabilities provide relevant metrics that are necessary to inform successful marketing and programming and drive continued growth. We measure more than 40 percent of the world’s viewing behavior—hundreds of channels, thousands of programs, and millions of viewers. This measurement breadth allows clients to plan programming and advertising for their ideal audience. That great lipstick ad you saw during your favorite reality show—that was no accident—it was informed by big data.”
“Electronic and proprietary metering technology is at the heart of Nielsen audience measurement. In addition to capturing what channels viewers are watching on each television set in the home, our meters can identify who is watching and when, including “time-shifted” viewing—the watching of recorded programming up to seven days after an original broadcast.”
Nielsen says it does get census-level data from some digital viewing.
Nielsen says it not only measures mobile video, but does a superior job of it. Nielsen’s system relies on having networks, studios and MVPDs embed software in their video players, whether browser-or app-based. “This means that now we’re doing census measurement, we’re counting every single video that we see,” Clarken says.
