been thinking abt it lately and reblog with what form you'd take as a branched/ if you could achieve your ideal state of being. I personally think I'd be dripping light, like something as bright as the sun and moving like liquid. It'd be warm.

The architectures of these macromolecules can be quite diverse; molecules can be linear or branched or have a comb, ladder or star structure (figure 26.4).
"Chemistry" 2e - Blackman, A., Bottle, S., Schmid, S., Mocerino, M., Wille, U.
As some of you might perhaps know: I have 4 clusters of interests:
Math (Blue)
PhysX (Green)
cogSci+ (includes cognitive science, psychology, neuroscience, linguistics -> furtherly slightly branching out towards literature and philosophy) (red-and red-adjacent)
Art, LIT(erature) & Philo(sophy)
For the cogSci+ cluster of interests I made that branching illustration/visualisation.
I wrote the words on the foil, not directly at the paper of the drawing.
Branched Asphodel (Asphodelus ramosus L.) This beautiful flower is in full bloom in Malta right now. It's commonly found in steppe, disturbed garigue, and clifftops with amazing views. #flower #asphodel #xanthorrhoeacae #malta #march #beautiful #hagar qim #branched #plant #green #whiteflower (at Għar Ħanex) https://www.instagram.com/p/CbVjnIhsqDZ/?utm_medium=tumblr
A List of Humanity's Branches (part 2)
Elven Grouping: Elves were one of the first artificial divergencies from the standard human in the history of humanity's many branching species and subspecies.
Elves became a kind of status symbol because the first people to be able to afford these types of changes to their children were the wealthy. The first elves didn't even have the standard pointy ears (which came later), however they had an almost uncanny etherealness to them due to the fact that their genes were practically hand picked to have a baby that looked exactly how the parents wanted it to.
The first elves were made to be more physically attractive than the standard human as well as tended to be healthier because any potential genetic disorders were edited out before they were even born.
However when the first ever "elves" became a semi-standard practice (by this I mean that it became more affordable but was still something that needed to be saved for by the average couple), this is when elves began to take the shape that they look today.
Soon children of ultra-wealthy began to exhibit traits that were artificial or edited in using foreign DNA: pointed ears, skin tones ranging from bone white to blue to green to even gold, eye colors ranging between the shades such as red, purple, and more vivid shades of blue or green.
It wasn't until the Great Black Out when worlds heavy in the elven population were cut off from the rest of the vast expanding effort to colonize new worlds, except for planets in their solar systems which allowed for further speciation brought on by environmental changes rather than man made interferences.
A List of Humanity's Branches (Part 1)
Truemen/Thumans: The closest living relative of the modern human (also called Terrans). They remain unaltered but have adapted to the hotter temperatures that the Earth now harbors. The truemen are mostly isolationist and do not like to interact with other planets or the other subspecies that have appeared keeping their cities closed off and highly guarded.
Vhampirs: evolved from the harsh environment of the planet Drot, they are a mostly underground species living in tunnel systems to escape both the harsh light of day and the cold temperatures that persist year around. because of their subterranean life style their eyes have adapted to dark environments and are thus very sensitive to high levels of light. Their skin color ranges from where they live relative to the surface. Those closer to the surface have darker skin to protect against the rays of the sun and the reflective quality of ice and snow. Those who live in tunnels that are farther underground, rather away from sunlight, are paler.
genAI would have been so cool for making Branched people
