My Neon Trees Experience

Ok, allow me to warn you this will probably be the longest post ever you could read from me, but I have much to say.

Well it was July 31st, 2014 on a sunny, unbelievably hot Thursday afternoon and one of my best friends Maria and I were on our way to Hard Rock Hotel at 1pm. Butterflies were filling my stomach already, like lets be real here--I was anxious because I think I knew at that moment that i could be actually be meeting Neon Trees.--sidenote-- Neon Trees is my life and they've actually changed my life just as much as Foster The People have so finding out I could see them in person made me so feel so overjoyed in happiness. ANYWAY, Maria and I were in the hotel and we walked like a couple steps and I looked to the left and I actually squealed because I saw the display case from the Sleeping with a Friend video, I could feel the tears filling in my eyes, it was beautiful. Two guys were working on it--Beau and Corey, btw remember Coreys name because he plays an important part in this entire journey-- so Maria asked if Neon trees would for sure be here and they said YUP! and she said "so if we push some fans to get to the band you won't be mad right?" and Beau said: "well i personally like a little violence so why not" and Corey just laughed and told us to be back at 4. So then I had Maria take pics for my twitter friends so they could some sneak peeks, let me remind you that not even NT had seen it yet and I was showing y'all but ya so Maria and I were hungry so we went to Fuel Cafe and we went to get drinks and I pulled two diet cokes and without thinking I told Maria "If the next one I pull is Tylers name, it's a sign that I'm meeting him" and I twisted the coke botte around to reveal the name and IT SAID FUCKING TYLER ON A DIET COKE. Maria and I flipped because we knew then it was gonna be a good day and that the diet coke was good luck. We ate and chatted and then we needed to waste more time cause it was only 2:30 so we walked outside and the Hard Rock Cafe was out in front and Maria quickly stopped and said "Diana do you hear that??" THE CAFE WAS PLAYING EVERYBODY TALKS IN THEIR CAFE ON THE TVS OUTSIDE AND I FLIPPED OUT CAUSE 1: THAT SONG WAS MY LIFE IN 10TH GRADE 2: UH ANOTHER SIGN OF ME MEETING NEON TREES??? HAHAHHA

So Maria and I get gummy worms and some neon crawler candies cause you gotta be in the neon spirit haha and we walk in the heat into farther areas and end up just walking back into the hotel. Maria is obsessed with Coldplay so we were searching for other display cases around the casino and just walking, wasting time. Maria and I walk into the hallways of the hotel room elevators but they had some cool display cases so we looked and as we turn around I go into complete shock. I didn't think it was real, but I saw Chris Allen and his wife and I knew it was him because he had hangers of his flowery shirts and his beautiful blonde hair was swiped and he looked so WOW and I was making weird noises out of excitement and I was whispering into Maria "OMFG IS THAT CHRIS omgomgomg" and Maria doesn't really know the names but mind you she is a damn good fan because she knows more songs than any of my friends do, anyway,she was like DIANA GO SAY HI and I think Chris knew that I knew it was him so he casually walked past me and looked at the display case of Aerosmiths stuff and I walk up to him and tap his arm and ask in a shaking manner "Uh Chris, can i ask you a question?"  Chris- Of course!! and he smiles and I said "can I get a picture please?" and he said yes of course and meanwhile I'm shaking he has his hangers in his hands and Maria is already taking pics and his wife realized that he was taking pics so she was like "Chris!! give me your hangers so it's not in the pictures!" and she took them and we took pics and i said thank you and he said youre welcome, see you later!! and i teared up walking and Maria and i sat down to think and god bless Maria because she had to deal with a fangirl Diana in a new state of mind full of Neon Trees emotions. We walked around again and by that time it was 330 so we went to go charge our phones and get our shit straight before we get back to the display case, so at 4 we go back and theres already like 20 people there and this lady was setting up the line areas for the journalists, interviews, publicists and whatnot and Maria asked can we get close to the line?? and the lady was like ya sure I dont see why not and WE GOT SUPER CLOSE LIKE BASICALLY IN SAME BREATHING AIR. it was around 4:20 when i started having anxiety and emotions running and Then 430 comes and just waiting any second when i look to the right and I SEE THE PURPLE HAIR it was Tyler and Branden at first (lol of course them together) and then Elaine and Chris afterwards (i vined it btw) They walked into the area so gracefully and were all smiles and I was shedding tears and jesus Tyler looked amazing, Branden looked spiffy, Chris looking sharp and omg i wish elaine was my mom she is soooo gorgeous they got interviewed by like three people and they talked about how happy they are, and how they could be in California but they came here instead lol but they looked happy and then the news interviewed them it was really cute to watch and i had some eye contacts with the band it was actually hurting my insides no joke i wanted to cry but after all that they went to the left and got pics with the fans and I waited and Branden came over and I was on an adrenaline rush or something and i was like " BRANDEN!!!" AND HE CAME over smiling and was like hi! and i asked for a pic and so we got one and I accidentally interrupted this one girl from talking because I needed to get a shoutout video and so i said branden please do me a huge favor!!! and he said ya??? and i was like can you s/o my friends Jade and Emily and so i started the vine and he said " sorry jade and emily you couldn't be here you missed out! *gets close into my camera* YOU REALLY MISSED OUT!" AND HE leaves and elaine comes by and I WAS LIKE ELAINE youre so beautiful can i get a pic and Chris casually walks into it too so we get a group photo and omg she is just so fucking gorgeous i want to be her and Chris' smile is so great ughhhhh and THEN SLIPPING AWAY FROM MY FINGERS TYLER WAS WAVING BYE AND I WAS LIKE NAH THIS ISN'T HAPPENING i run to the other side and shout "tyler, tyler, tyler please can we get a pic" and he said "hurry, real quick yes" afterr he turned down the others lmao i felt bad but i think he saw the desperation and love in my eyes and omfg i held him tight and he remembered the girl taking our pic he was like how are you?? and i was like thinking shit he remembers people haha and then after the pic he said ok thanks and I said i love you so much Tyler and he grabbed my hand and held my fucking hand for like five seconds and said " you too" he smiled so hard like I looked into those beautiful eyes when he held my hand and he looked so happy and i started tearing up so he was see you soon! and left and afterwards Maria and I had a moment to freak out and omfg it was crazy and we saw Branden taking pictures with his parents and whatnot and Maria and I took a breath and I was like we need to figure out the private show
