This is my favourite little nighttime spot in Brandon where I grew up. It’s up on the north hill and we used to park up there when we got bored of driving in circles and we’d just chat or eat McCain’s deep delicious cakes or whatever teenagers do.
There is a giant tree about halfway between Brandon and Winnipeg. It is creatively known as the Halfway Tree and it is most beloved.
Also, one of my favourite colour schemes of all time is the highway in the summer right before a thunderstorm, when the sky is super dark blue-grey and the greens are REALLY green, and the yellow of the road lines and signs just pops beautifully.
Top 5 colour palettes for sure.
My friends!! I’ve opened a T-shirt shop and the first couple of designs are VERY Manitoba, including the Halfway Tree! They’re 30% off until May 10! https://www.teepublic.com/user/alex_plalex
