How vitriolic, violent, petty, or just plain bad has the rivalry between the Mordians and the Praetorians gotten on board? What's the worst thing one has done to another?
In terms of events that involved all of them, the worst of it was a bloody scuffle between the four of them in in the cafetarium during one of Tornic’s archive recordings. Even Wesk had been pushed to the boiling point from all the insults and little exchanges. Had to get the commissar to break it up.
Stopping Branz was the hard part. Dudes so low to the ground and dense it was like trying to tackle a hockey puck.
It didn’t actually solve the problems between the Prats and us, but it did stop us fighting in public. Good throne, I never want to see the commissar running towards me with that look on her face again as long as I live.
Me and Wesk were forced to bunk together, which didn’t work for either of us, obviously.
Not at first, anyways. We eventually figured things out.
Not proud to admit, though we ceased fighting in public, things stayed tense between me and PFC Branz for several months.
Things came to a head during a routine surveillance mission wherein we exchanged insults and eventually came to blows.
Fact is, you can learn a lot about a dude by getting into a dust up. We’re not that different! The Praetorians may looks and talk stuffy, and have a genuine sense of one upmanship, but they’re not all talk!
Daneel’s not a close combat guy, but he knows some great holds! Dude can wrassle.
I learned that PFC Branz can literally pick up an adult male and throw them seven feet.
We sorted things out and exchanged smokes. Good times!
I mean, we’re still gonna compete, but we’re done beating on eachother.
It took a little longer for me and Sergeant Minhelm to clear things up..but we got there.
