Hi, I’m Nick.
I’m a trumpet player, music educator, and lifelong learner.
I’m currently the Brass Strand Lead for In Harmony Opera North, leading brass provision across primary schools in Leeds, Halifax and Huddersfield. Alongside this, I teach private brass students of all ages and abilities.
Teaching is at the heart of what I do. I’m interested in how people learn, and I enjoy helping musicians develop not only their technique, but their confidence, independence, and curiosity.
I continue to perform as a freelance trumpet player, and I believe that playing and teaching continually inform one another.
Away from the classroom, I’m dad to two brilliant children (10 & 3), usually with a filter coffee close by and a book never far away.
