There’s this park in tokyo. It’s called shinjuku gyoen. When we were there it was so sunny and calm. I think it’d be a nice place to have a picnic or read or study. The movie kotonoha no niwa is set there too, it’s from the same director as Kimi no Na wa if you’ve seen that. It’s a nice place to visit if you ever go to tokyo. Like a soothing place right in the middle of a big city.
When I was in korea last month we spent some nights in a little park by han river. It was so nice, it was so hot during the day but at night it was so nice out and the sun was setting and the park would be filled with young people just chilling and eating food and hanging out. Many of them had tents with fairy lights in them that they sat in. And people were listening to music and you could see the seoul skyline and I just remember feeling so content and happy and I didn’t want to leave. We bought a picnic blanket and brought fried chicken and candy and soda and just talked and it was so nice. If you’re ever in seoul during summer I recommend going to the river like that at night.
London and new york. It’s been long since I’ve been in london now but even though I’ve been there before it’s always a place I want to go back to. I think maybe it’s also a feeling of wanting to go back to a place you’ve been before knowing you’ll be more independent this time? And maybe able to see things differently. I want to go back to new york too. I like going to big cities but I often find myself wanting to go back to calm and serene places within those cities? So I want to spend more time in central park and on the high line.
Singapore is like one of the most interesting places ever. It feels a bit surreal, like one second it’s like you’re in the movie avatar and then the next like you’ve gone back in time. They’ve decided to have a lot of plants and trees inside the city even though it’s so big and modern, just to improve the quality of life for those who live there. It’s so cool. Gardens by the bay is so pretty, you can go there at night and watch a light and music show. It’s so nice.
A few weeks ago I went to a café with my grandma and my sister and my cousin. It was on the way up a mountain and it had a view over a lake. It was so pretty. It really got me thinking about how nice it is to visit new and exciting places but how there’s also so much at home I haven’t seen. Like it was only an hour away from home but it was by far one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen.
If you meant top 5 places I want to visit but haven’t yet it would be hong kong, rome, the french coast maybe?, prague and maybe switzerland, like where junmyeon went.
