just want to say, although team usa’s postgame actions are not a surprise at all, it’s 100% valid to be disappointed that your favorite player isn’t who you thought they were. because it’s hockey, there’s always a high chance that they’re not a good person, but having to come to terms with it immediately is hard and that’s okay. i’m disgusted and disappointed that every. single. player. on the team usa roster was giggling and smiling during that phone call. if you’re feeling gross about the whole situation, that’s entirely valid. and it’s okay if you’re having a hard time removing those players as your favorites because of these actions. but if you’re disappointed, you’re not alone and it’s 100% okay to feel that way.

Yesterday I heard of another school shooting in Texas, my home.

19 elementary school kids died yesterday.

Yesterday was different for me. Yesterday I heard about the shooting as I played on the floor with my 3 month old daughter. I watched her make herself laugh in the mirror for the first time. I watched her take a rattle from my hand and shake it for the first time. And for the first time in my life, I contemplated what it would be like to be a parent who lost a child in a school shooting.

Before her I suppose I thought of myself when I heard about shootings (especially since I work on an concealed carry campus), what I would do, how I would react, etc. But now I am consumed by the realization that my baby - the most precious thing to me on this planet - could be taken from me. And it is unbearable.

All I know is a not insignificant portion of me resides in that little red haired, blue eyed angel of a girl, and I don't know what I'd do without it.

Fuck "not getting political". There should be nothing political about preventing the mass murder of children.

okay okay okay, we need to talk. tumblr as of the last month has been hell. it seems that once a week a creator is being attacked for something. seeing this had made me think of some things and i would like to share.

1. !size kinks! i have recently watched a blog get attacked and hated on for talking about size kinks. i just want to say this, size kinks aren’t body shaming. i understand that some people may not be into size kinks and that’s okay! however some people are, and taking that away seems unfair. going forward i am going to tag anything that has to do with size kinks as #size kink. if size kinks are something you do not like/are not into please block the tag. if you need help finding how to do so please send an ask or google it (what i had to!)

2. !smut about matthew! i am deciding to no longer write smutty blurbs or answer smutty asks about him. i will still reblog smut fics from time to time but i’m not answering anymore SMUT asks. you can still send fluffy asks. i will be tagging all of my matthew smut reblogs as #mggsmutreblog you can block that if you would like. i will still continue to take smut asks on spencer and his other characters as well as emily prentiss and elle greenway!

3. !toxicity of people on here! it’s been toxic in this fandom for awhile and when i say y’all are driving some creators away i mean it. STOP BEING ENTITLED! ask. that’s it. ask. if you don’t like a certain kink, ask for the creator to tag it so you can block it. that being said, i mean kinks not things that are wrong such as r*pe, body shaming, or racism. those are things that are WRONG and should be pointed out and the people should be held accountable! when i say kinks i mean things like daddy kinks, size kinks, pet play kinks, bdsm type stuff, etc.

to wrap things up, i want to say this first and foremost: i want everyone to feel loved and accepted here. i want people to know that they are beautiful as they are and that’s what matters. i love each and everyone one of you that follow me and if you don’t follow me and see me in tags, i love you too. this blog is a safe space and it will remain as such. i will update my pinned post with my new tags and stuff! i love y’all very much!
