how are the foster kitties doing?

her name is breezy and she is a medical mystery. she's kind of bald and super teeny tiny. she is 4 weeks old. she's also intersex with ambiguous genitalia. the vets have never seen anything like her before. everybody say happy pride month breezy 🏳️🌈

Breezy was born with ambiguous genitalia and the vets couldn't sex her. Spay/neuter surgery revealed a normal ovary on one side and an abnormal infected gonad on the other side which after further testing was determined to be an abnormally structured ovary. The ovary also had an ambiguous section they couldn't determine and it was adhered to another organ which had to be fixed. The infection and inflammation also extended to her uterus on that side as well as the adhered organ.
I don't really understand much of the medical jargon in her medical record they gave us afterwards to be honest but was told by the vet it was "really unusual" and "never seen that before", especially given the infection at her age (said pyometra usually happens in older female cats who had prolonged progesterone exposure, Breezy was only about 10 weeks old).

Breezy update - guess who got her spay/neuter!! Didn't get to talk to the vet so don't know specifics, but DID get her medical record which is really funny - includes notes such as "appears to have both testes and a vulva. unsure gender. A bit of a genetic nightmare"
also she's fluffy now!!!
she looks so healthy and happy!!!! nothing like the very scrungly ticking ovary time bomb she was half a year ago.
