Backpacking through Europe with your boyfriend was nothing short of amazing. So far you’d toured the city of London, spent three days doing nothing but eating and napping in Paris, walked along the countryside in The Netherlands, and now here you were in Switzerland, taking what felt like a thousand pictures of Brian as you two hiked the mountain your cabin was located on. He was in an awfully good mood, even for him, but of course you didn’t mind. You actually enjoyed watching him goof around in the snow, and for once you wished you had brought something better than your phone to capture those moments.
Currently, Brian was writing your initials in a snow bank like one of those cheesy tree carving teenagers liked to make. It was ironically perfect that way; he never failed to make you feel like a sappy teenager in love for the first time. You smiled when he called you over. He wanted to take a picture in front of his artwork, and you happily obliged, only it wasn’t quite the photoshoot you had expected. Brian took a couple pictures of you both smiling and making silly faces before he told you to close your eyes so he could take a picture of the two of you kissing. You didn’t think anything of it; you obediently closed your eyes and waited for Brian’s lips to meet your own, but they never did.
“Brian, what’s taking so- Holy shit!“ you cut yourself off as you opened your eyes and noticed your boyfriend down on one knee in front of you. He only chuckled at your reaction as pure love and excitement flashed in his eyes.
“Y/f/n L/n, I knew from the moment I-“
“Yes!” You yelled, practically tackling him to the ground and kissing him before he could even get the question out. Brian blinked up at you when you pulled away, completely dumbfounded by what had just happened.
“Well that was easy...” he pulled you down for another kiss.
Eventually the two of you managed to untangle yourselves from each other and get up off the ground. As Brian placed the small, glittering diamond on your finger your smile grew; it looked perfect on you. He truly did know you and your style. You met his gaze again when he pulled you back into his arms.
“I’m sorry for ruining your proposal. I know you must’ve worked hard on that speech.” You said, feeling slightly guilty now.
Brian laughed it off and pressed his forehead to yours. “Don’t be. It was perfect.”
And really, it was.
omgomgomgomgomg ok so how about "You know, just because I'm dead doesn't mean I don't have feelings." with vampire Brian xx
So much Brian omg yall are really trying to kill me!! My heart is overflowing w love rn.
“You know, just because I’m dead doesn’t mean I don’t have feelings,” Brian pouted as you laughed at him.
“Aren’t you technically undead?” you asked, laughing even harder.
“Aren’t you technically undead Brian? Why don’t you turn into a bat Brian, you’d be cuter that way!” he replied, doing a purposefully horrible imitation of your voice.
Although he was trying to keep up the act, he was starting to show the tiniest hints of a smile growing on his lips. You loved to tease him about the whole vampire thing, but he knew that you were always just kidding.
“In my defense, bats are really cute,” you stated matter-of-factly. “It’s not my fault you don’t have cool bat powers.”
“They’re not powers, they’re abilities! And I can do way cooler stuff than turning into a flying rat!”
Your interest was officially piqued. “Like what?”
Suddenly, he was behind you, tapping on your shoulder. “Well, speed for one.” You grinned and he did the same, flashing his fangs. “Plus these things are kinda cool.”
“What, you mean the death devices in your mouth? The ones thAT ALMOST BIT ME WHEN I TRIED TO FEED YOU ONCE?”
“I SAID I WAS SORRY!”
“SORRY DOESN’T KEEP MY FINGERS FROM GETTING BITTEN OFF, BRIAN.”
He scoffed, and you could see the laughter staring to build up inside him again. “That was only like one time… or maybe three, but honestly, who’s counting?”
You pouted and turned away from him, giving one last attempt to seem upset. But as you felt his arms wrap around your waist, you couldn’t help but smile and lean back into his chest.
“Are you using mind control or something right now? Because suddenly I’m thinking about how much I enjoy your stupid ass,” you sighed, closing your eyes and wrapping his arms tighter around yourself.
“Actually, I think that one’s just my natural charm,” he replied lazily, and you could feel the rumble of his words against his chest.
You hummed in agreement. “Your charms are to die for.”
He groaned loudly, burying his face in your neck. “Really? A pun? Are you serious, y/n?”
“It was a great joke.”
“You’re the joke.”
“Rude,” you shot back easily, pulling out of his arms. “Hey, let’s go home now, I’m getting kind of hungry.”
He nodded. “Just as long as you promise not to tell anymore stupid puns.”
“Deal! But you know, it really sucks that I can’t say any more.”
“Y/N I SWEAR-”

You set your sketchbook down when the familiar melody of the doorbell began playing. You checked the time and a sudden burst of excitement ran through you. You’d been expecting a package; during your FaceTime call last night, Brian had mentioned a package he was sending you from Paris that would arrive around 5pm. He wouldn’t give you any hints as to what was in the package, but he promised you you’d love it. You knew you’d love anything he bought you, but knowing how well he knew you only excited you more.
You sighed as the doorbell was impatiently rung a second time and moved a little faster to answer it. By the time you got to the door it was ringing a third time, and part of you wondered why the delivery person just hadn’t left the package outside the door like they normally did. You didn’t bother checking to see who was on the other side; you simply threw the door open in pure excitement. You had opened your mouth to speak but any words you were about to say got hung in your throat when you were met face to face with your soulmate. It took a minute of you staring and Brian’s hand waving in front of your face for you to realize that you weren’t dreaming. Once you realized it though, you didn’t hesitate to jump into his arms, your body immediately wrapping around him. You caught him a little off guard, but he still managed to catch you and hold you up. Brian pressed his lips against yours in a long awaited kiss while he carried you back inside and nudged the door shut with his foot. He gently set the gifts in his hands on the table, then set you down on the counter. Brian pulled away from your lips before things could get too heated, but he remained in your grasp.
“You’re here... I thought you weren’t coming home until next week.” You said, still shocked that your soulmate was actually standing in front of you. Your hands played with the soft ends of his hair as he smiled at you, his fingers rubbing small patterns into your lower back.
“The tour was over. We were just going to spend an extra week in Paris.” Brian shrugged and tugged you a little closer, “I figured I’d enjoy seeing the surprise on your face more.”
“Did you?” You asked curiously, wrapping your legs around him once more.
“Definitely.” He said while leaning in to kiss you again. The two of you quickly got tangled up in each other once more, and the actual gifts he’d brought you forgotten were in the background for now.
ok ok ok ok ok ok ok i have an idea. "I'd give all of this up for you. All you have to do is say yes." with prince Brian
THIS WAS SO FUN TO WRITE IM LOVING THIS ALREADY!!!!!!!!
“I’d give all of this up for you. All you have to do is say yes.”
“Brian, I’m not what’s important here. The entire kingdom needs you. I can’t just ask you to run away with me.” Your voice is shrill, full of anxiety mixed with pain. You pace back and forth as Brian stands calmly in front of you, chin high and nothing but determination on his features. “I can guarantee that we’ll both die if you come with me.”
He reaches for your hands, and you flinch at the contact. You had to stay strong. You had to keep telling him no.
“I’d rather die with you than without you.”
And that was when you lost it. The tears were falling before you realized what was happening, and he was wrapping you in his arms and whispering his love into your ear.
“The king will kill you Brian,” you managed to choke out. “Your own father will kill you for treason if we get caught.”
He sighs heavily. He knows it’s true. Running away with the most wanted person in the kingdom was not something that was forgivable. But he was prepared to leave it all for you. If there was one thing that he could rely on, one thing that he knew wouldn’t ever disappear, it was the love you had for him and his for you.
You feel his hands start to shake. “So be it. I’m ready to run away with you. We could be so happy, y/n. We could start all over, be entirely new people. I know for a fact that Jae will help us out and keep us safe. So I’ll ask you for the final time. Can I go with you?”
You think for a while before answering, your voice wavering.
“Yes,” you whisper, and he grips you tighter.
“Thank you,” he mumbles, and you both fall silent, minds drifting off to imagine the future. Good or bad, you would be in it together.
Oddly enough, the thought brought you comfort and anguish at the same time.
