"it's too far back," allison told him, looking down at him from where she stood on one of the rock ledges. it had been stiles that had seen it, the glint of an arrowhead or maybe a knife that had fallen during the chase. neither of them wanted to wait for someone else with more strength or powers to come get it, so allison had volunteered to climb up the side of the rock face to get to it. it was too far down to go at it from the top, but allison was so sure she could get it. she made another swipe at the arrow, but it was out of her reach by a good few inches. stiles was right, they needed to try a new strategy because the ledge just wasn't thick enough for her to stand on safely. "do you see a stick or something down there? i could try and bring it closer maybe?"

Relieved to see Alex there, he climbed to his feet and embraced him. Tears in his eyes, he felt like crumbling. "Bea just got readmitted. I didn't think you would come. The whole family is up in arms..." He explained as he put his head on his shoulder.

inej almost wants to laugh. what does she want him to say? she doesn't even know where to begin, the list is so long. there are so many things between them that have gone unspoken. so many things that they have both been holding back because they hadn't been ready. it leaves her frustrated more often than not these days, a longing for something more tugging in her chest. "something truthful." her jaw sets, fingers curling in on themselves at her side. "whatever it is that you have been holding back."

Henry, bless him, had a way of just pulling all and any stress out of Alex's body with the simplest gestures. The simple brushing of his hair from his face made his heart swell in a way that couldn't help but smile up at his boyfriend with soft gratitude. "My final for my Media Relations class... I have to write an encompassing research paper on the history of the relationship between the press and the White House. I was trying to get a rough draft in early to get my professor to take a look at it and get her opinion. I, obviously, have much to say..." Alex chuckled as he squeezed his hand around Henry's. His eyes lit up when he saw the mug of something hot. He reached for it and was only a little disappointed when he realized it was tea, probably something soothing like mint or lavender, hinting at Henry's intentions of getting Alex to bed.

"I hope you didn't wait up for me if you were tired..." He took a sip, hissing slightly as it burned his tongue a little. He took another before setting it back down next to his laptop, which he closed, and gently tugged Henry closer to him. "Ok... you have my full attention now... promise.."
