         Conor didn’t see why he needed to take some courses. He was a music major, one that just wanted to take music classes. But, he’d been put in English classes, like he knew everyone had to take, and they were given group assignments and assigned a partner. He’d seen Caroline in class but hadn’t talked to her that much, really. But, they’d agreed to meet somewhere to at least work on it.  

       After arriving, he looked around, waiting for her to arrive.  This could be fun, or it could be disastrous. Group assignments could go either way.

somebody  who  wasn’t  supposed  to  had  been  near  the  punch .   dahlia  stops  in  her  tracks  to  make  an  unpleasant  face  after  sipping  the  drink ,  quickly  realizing  it  wasn’t  just  punch .   seeing  her  sister  beginning  to  raise  her  own  glass ,  dahlia’s  hand  goes  out ,  fingers  lightly  pressing  on  ally’s  arm  to  stop  her .             ❝    actually  i  wouldn’t  drink  that     ---     i  think  it’d  be  best  if  we  tried  a  different  punch  table .    ❞

❝    castle  coming  is  soon .    ❞          a  politely  pointed  out  fact  but  if  you  knew  dahlia ,   &   ally  of  all  people  did ,  then  you  knew  there  was  more  coming .    she  takes  one  long  stride  then  turns   &   sits ,  shoulder  to  shoulder ,  by  her  sister .          ❝    is  there  anyone  you’ve  got  your  eye  on  for  a  date  this  year ?    ❞           there’s  slight  playful  teasing  in  her  tone   &   she  nudges  ally  a  little .          ❝    if  not  my  offer  from  last  is  still  just  as  good ,  you  know .    i’ll  always  turn  down  any  suitor  in  favor  of  being  my  sister’s  plus  one .    ❞
