Guys if Gabe does come back though (and I hope he does, I’ve been shouting about needing his return since I joined this fucking website), I just hope they don’t do anything bad with his character. As he was left in Hammer of the Gods, he is an extremely complex character who developed phenomenally in just 4 episodes. He’s undervalued, not in that people don’t like him, but in that they tend to only acknowledge one or two sides of him (the candy-lovin trickster). But his death was a good one, and through it he finally achieved redemption. It was the one time when his actions actually had the results he’d intended. That being said, I would love to see more of him. I’d love to see the fun, silly, Changing Channels Gabe that we know and love. The one whose final action was to make a cheesy porno. And I’d like to see more of the other side of Gabe. The side who had to deal with too much shit from his family, and was quite literally caught in the crossfire. The side that sacrificed himself to save the world, and (despite going about it the wrong way), tried to save Sam from heartbreak in Mystery Spot. I’d love to see what else we can do with this character. I want him to stay true to his personality, but I also want to see him grow. I think this was done beautifully (and tragically) in Hammer of the Gods, and I want to see more of that in season 9. Even though I adore Bobby, in some ways I feel like bringing him back so many times might have tarnished his memory, or made his death less meaningful. As much as I want an epic return of gabriel, I just don’t want that to happen to him, too. He’s already done so much in such a short period of time, but his character still has a lot of potential to grow. I’d like to see that potential fulfilled. I want him back so badly, but I don’t want them to bring him back just for the sake of doing so. Please, please give him more development and plot.
