What I love about wolfblood is how realistic (minus the whole wolf thing ofc) it is to the british secondary school experience. They managed to capture the form-room setting perfectly, the dynamics with teachers, the random room being used as a group hangout space. Tbh it's why I find the first seasons so enjoyable to watch, even now. 10/10 nostalgia

I’m rereading Charmed Life for the first time in a while and I just reached the part where Cat admits to Mr. Saunders that he’s left-handed and he was always punished for writing with his left hand at his previous schools. And I checked, and this book was published in 1977. The same year Star Wars came out. Less than fifty years ago. And I did the math, and Cat is probably like six or seven during this book. He’s just a little kid! And I’m thinking about how Charles Rowland was sixteen in 1989, so he would’ve been close to Cat’s age in the 1970s, and he also attended schools in Britain. Was he punished for using his left hand as well? Like Cat, did he get very good at watching the teachers and switching between his right and left hand while doing his assignments, to avoid punishment? Did Edwin have a similar reaction to Mr. Saunders when he finally found out? Was Charles surprised, like Cat was, to meet someone who was angry on his behalf instead of angry at him? I’m honestly surprised this isn’t dissected more in fanfic.

i fuckig hate gcses cuz the english teachers are all like "the examiners are trying to give you marks :D they want you to do good :D" meanwhile the science examiners apparently mark it with their eyes closed and then personally attend results day to mock everyone who did shit and punch any kids who arent already crying

The true experience of being friendless in a British senior school...

I was in PE and my teacher, who is a fucking SAINT, gave me the option of either playing tennis against the wall (I did it last year when I was going through shit with ex friends) or joining someone's team.

My class is mostly chill, so I actually joined a team, and it was the. Most. AWKWARD. shit. Ever. (Bruh I couldnt hit a single ball and I stood to the side awkwardly lmfao.)

So after I missed a 5th ball I left and told my teacher, and i quote, "That was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever been a part of."

I had a lesson earlier where the teacher basically just makes us fill in a PowerPoint. I finished it in within twenty minutes or so and had no homework to do, so I decided to go onto some very important websites.

While doing this, I hear the person next to me say "What's malevolent?" And point at my screen while I was scrolling through the episodes

Five minutes later, as I was looking through the rusty quill website, he kept reading stuff on my screen out loud and asking what it was. My school is strange.
