Happy New Year! If you’ve ever wondered what my comic Objet d’Art would be like as a movie, I made a soundtrack playlist which I’d had in mind as I was doing the story. Trish Keenan and the band Broadcast were a muse for me when I crafted the comic. The tracks here are in the order I’d imagined them. If you play this soundtrack and crack open Unreal City and start reading Objet d’Art from panel one: that’s THE music I have in mind for the scene. #novvinylchallenge day 17 - fav song on fav album: “you can fall” broadcast • the noise made by people • i rented the movie Morvern Callar on VHS from blockbuster in high school on a random whim based on the box art. one of the most striking aspects of the movie is its soundtrack; it got me into Can, Boards Of Canada, and Broadcast (by featuring the song i’ve chosen for this challenge). i still remember buying a used copy of this album on CD from a (long-closed) record store on central street in evanston, so i’m really glad that warp repressed broadcast’s catalog on vinyl a few years ago. also, if you’ve been following my posts for this challenge, i’m sure you’ve noticed that i’ve had trouble narrowing things down. so i’m proud of myself for just picking one record here (though i’ll say that “papercuts” is probably tied for my favorite song on this album). • #vinyl #warprecords #broadcastband https://www.instagram.com/p/B5CQydrlqK4/?igshid=1n0iane36tdee
