You’re free.
Your character awakes where they once were. For once, it’s not the hell they’ve been in for weeks or months. It’s home. It’s the institution. It’s work. It’s wherever they were before arriving in Oblivion. Relief may flood your characters so much that it becomes nearly impossible to understand, but what is real is the fact that they are free from such a wretched place, back on earth, far safer than they’ve ever been.......... or so they think.
False Return
April Fools is not an exception for archdemons, and this is one prank that will most likely break your character from the ultimate feeling of false relief and hope. On April 1st, the castle has become empty due to everyone going home. You read it. Everyone’s gone back to where they were prior to arriving in Oblivion. The catch? It’s an April Fools joke, so this only lasts for the entirety of April Fools.
Your character(s) will have woken up wherever they were before ending up in oblivion and spend a whole day back on earth. This lasts for a day.
You can either:
i. Write a self para of your character waking up where they were before coming here and what they did all day.
ii. If your character is in a place where another character also was (e.g. current patients), you can have a convo with them that takes place during that day. Texts and phonecalls always exist and have existed for ages so your character is free to call another if they are nowhere near each other/cannot get to each other due to where they are.
iii. You can post starters of your character(s) waking up on April 2nd and finding themselves back in the castle because this is a cruel joke
Have fun with this one. I love torturing your characters.
