I feel like August and jaakko could’ve had some strange old men yaoi between them…..specifically like jaakko is an extremely dead-beat dad kind of guy who we know keeps getting into trouble with local authority. I’m just reminded of carrington and his “darliiing guess who’s back from jaiiil” video. Broderick probably looked up to him when he was still little and August had to have been like “oh absolutely not”. also genderbending so we can have more old woman yuri in the world. historians would call them “best friends”. I also like thinking about how girledward’s experience would change being a woman and a scientist in those days. She and girljaakko would be like the town’s local spinsters who spend a LOT of time together and also are trying to raise a random kid they got from Greece
