Laughing, she actually started laughing. Purely because she didn’t think he was being serious. But what if he was. Slowly the laughter faded, an amused expression became a curiously arched brow as the delinquent eyed the leader.
”Oh, were you being serious? Because it is going to take more than two little words to get into that. Put a little more feeling into it next time, I didn’t quite believe you wanted it. Maybe using your hands would make it more convincing.”
It took less than a fleeting glance in the dark haired male’s direction, on any given day of the week, to know that he wasn’t the type of guy the opposite sex were prone to laughing at in relation to the sinful topic of physical intimacy; his indisputable attractiveness and natural air of dominance that which proved adequate in rendering females to nothing more than an aroused mess at his booted feet, a distinct lack of effort required in doing so. He was a closed casket all ached to unlock, a mystery most bent over backwards in a bid to solve and yet there he sat, perched atop the end of his makeshift cot, the sole subject of his ‘lady’s’ profound amusement.
A cut-glass jaw had clenched in an outward display of annoyance infused discomfort, decadent hues had descended to play witness to the unification of digits between his respective palms. Granted, he’d been rather blunt, ridiculously so, the motivation behind his no-fuss approach being that which presented itself as a direct result of his increasing frustrations. But had laughter been entirely necessary? It made him feel nothing short of an i d i o t.
“As much as it pains me to admit given your reaction, I was; incredibly so. But- Noted. I’ll be sure to work on my approach for another time. Being painted as the desperate fool is kind of a mood killer.”

Hey, it’s totally in your right to say no. You have told her that you can work between certain hours and didn’t approve of anything else. Our system lets us offer up sifts online that we can’t work, letting someone else take it from you.
Exactly! I just hate approaching people about stuff like this and I’m always scared of causing upset or stress or whatever, just for my sake. We have the same system :) it’s why the shift I originally had for this Sunday is no longer one I have to work cos they put me on a teeny shift that was shorter than it’d take me to travel to and from work. I also advertised the one for next Friday but I still need to talk to her about the weekend ones because pretty much every shift I’ve been scheduled for is not within my availability :/

P R E A C H. I told my manager I couldn’t work anything more than my contract while my mum was in hospital, yet she put me in for long ass days. Also I don’t wanna work tomorrow either!
Wow RUDE. But yeah, they seem to blatantly ignore my availability even though it flags up a warning when they schedule anyone outside their agreed availability so what the hell? I’m not looking forward to telling her cos I know a lot of people have been approaching her about shift issues, but I can’t work the times she’s given me so I don’t really have a choice.
