HOOD CHEF - Exclusive Interview: "Fun House Food Spot"

Feed the local locos; that is the mantra of Brooklyn's patron of the arts and culinary legend in the making named, Hood Chef. Starting a quest for internet fame and simple notoriety in 2007, Hood Chef a.k.a. Savito, started video recording his daily urban adventures with his comrades Brooklyn T, O da Butcher, and DJ Laser. Ironically, it wasn't the things happening outside of his humble apartment that would bring notice, but the stroke of genius brought on by necessity and survival. Instead of buying a large pizza pie to feed himself and his fellow "Fun House" squatters, Hood Chef decided to take their collected $15 and buy groceries for him to cook and feed the plenty. From this one spark came a ritual of after-hours dining and Youtube cooking segments that would spawn a 200 kid, gang-like cult called 4Fun raised on rice and beans, kobe beef burgers, cilantro laced skirt steak sandwiches, and now the ever famous Tiger Sandwich. Although the original apartment and make-shift recording studio is gone, the crew and priestly chef have moved their daily schemes, meals, and artistic endeavors to the Fun House Food Spot restaurant in Borough Park Brooklyn. Although the new location may be hard to find (use that GPS), it's even harder to leave. 3712 13th Avenue, Brooklyn New York LOCO LIFE!
