       Hand clutching the straps of his OLIVE GREEN backpack, the football-headed kid with his head in the clouds made his way through the front doors of P.S.118 high school and was IMMEDIATELY struck by how massive and animal--like the environment seemed.

    And he lived in the JUNGLE for a long while.

     Lump caught in his throat, he passes by Gerald, who makes acknowledges his presence with a nod-- since they had seen each other the day before. Making his way, he passes by faces he CANNOT recognize and people whose names he DOESN'T know. Welcome back to Hillwood, Arnold.

     The welcome seemed bittersweet. While he was ECSTATIC to be back in his hometown with his family and friends-- he’s also not as naive. He knows things have CHANGED-- that they never stay the SAME.

     And yet as he approaches the destination he didn’t even know he was LOOKING for, he recognizes a familiar signal, one he’d know anywhere. Pink bow.

      He has a vague inclination that the motion he’s about to do at the moment is not only OUTRAGEOUS but incredibly SELF CLAIMING, and yet with a big huff to his throat, green eyes search for blue ones as he smiles awkwardly. “Hey, Helga,” He starts, daring to speak as if only DAYS have gone by and not THREE YEARS. No matter how RED his cheeks are or how SWEATY his palms feel. “How are you?”
