After finding out about Chris, Yindi knew she had to go see how Brycen was doing. She’d been there for him through many of the bumps along the way while Chris was under -- all the doubt and fear, but also the hope that he’d wake up and life would one day return to normal. That all seemed harder now and she just wanted to make sure Brycen was doing okay. She knocked and when the door opened she tried to smile, but couldn’t figure out how to make it convincing, “I ran into Chris, he didn’t recognise me... and told me what happened. How have you been holding up?”

It had been a long night with a lot of excitement. Lys themself had been through a flip book of thoughts and emotions, but was relieved to finally be tapering off at mostly just ‘wasted’ by the time they flop down beside Brycen. “Homefry Bry, my guy…” they drawl, bracing themself against their roommate. “You ever think about how your eyes see everything upside down and your brain flips it for you, but then you get fucked up enough and your brain stops flipping the image for you? Or is that just me?”
