I usually do my best to refrain from self-deprecatory language but really: I'm so stupid 😭😭😭

More than three fucking years in this fandom and I'm only now realizing that Atsushi's entrance exam consists of him using his body to sacrifice himself to protect people from a bomb.

And Akutagawa is precisely introduced by setting a bomb to kill people.

It's so specifically antithetical that it can't be a coincidence?? Further adding to the trend of Atsushi and Akutagawa being nemesis.

These are not the only mirroring panels in those scenes; but something about this specifically, about the way they turn their backs in the same way, the alike way of holding their phones, how their thoughts form the same words, hits me so hard. Being so close in everything, in the little, in the mundane, despite literally belonging to differnet universes. Something something whatever souls are made of theirs are the same.
