“The Tricia Helfer and Jamie Bamber Prohibition era Photoshoot isn’t real and can’t hurt you—”
So, Mary just added a reel posted Tricia Helfer shared from when the cast appeared as their BSG characters on Letterman in 2008 to list the Top Ten Reasons to Watch the New Season of BSG.
I’d never seen this particular segment with the main cast before, but honestly such a Golden Appearance in my book.

iPhoto is deliberately trying to make me feel old and it’s mean. This ⬆️ popped up in my Featured Photos to remind me that I saved it “On This Day 20 Years Ago” … Seriously, Apple is full of assholes & if I still love Battlestar Galactica, that’s my business (also, it’s still amazing). Hmph

Watch Imposters
I really need more people to be watching and talking about Imposters. I know it’s on Bravo, but I swear it’s not a real housewives reality show. It’s one of their few original scripted shows. And it gets like a hundred times more awesome each episode.
It’s kind of a combo buddy crime comedy, con artist drama, murder mystery? I don’t know how to sum it up that well because it really is a mix of hilarious and WTF-Holy-Shit-What-NOW-ness.
It starts out with 2 men and a woman who have all been conned by the same woman finding each other and teaming up to track her down. Meanwhile, we watch this woman and the team she works with and come to realize they work for a pretty scary boss and aren’t allowed much freedom themselves.
I don’t want to give away some of the big twists that occur but it gets WILD and is getting wilder each episode.
Anyway, as far as representation, one of the main characters is a lesbian, one is played by an Israeli-American woman (Inbar Lavi), and several key characters are black (played by Stephen Bishop, Chastity Dotson [Nish Sweeney from VMars], and Denise Dowse).
As far as fun casting choices - Parker Young (Ryan Shay from Suburgatory/Randy Hill from Enlisted) plays one of the conned men, Aaron Douglas (best known as Chief Galen Tyrol from BSG) plays the man we find our con woman actively conning when the show opens, and oh yea UMA THURMAN plays a masculine of center fixer for the big boss who comes in to threaten everyone when things go awry.
I’m not one with a talent for graphics and visuals, so hopefully this text is enough to convince some of you to check this show out and come play with those of us already watching. I believe there’s 2 episodes left before the season finale, so you’ve got a little time to catch up with the first 8 episodes.
So sad about the passing of Richard Hatch. The BSG family lost one of its own. Rest in peace. So say we all! Picture taken at FedCon XVIII (2009).
