RELATIONSHIP WITH MAKNAE LINE

Jimin always wanted a younger sister so when he learned Daeun was part of the final lineup for Bangtan, he was delighted to form a friendship with her. They had minimal interactions as trainees since Daeun was always practicing with the other female trainees, which made the start of their friendship all the more special.

The two of them were able to bond over the similar struggles they've faced over the years. Despite how much they've suffered because of their idol career, it brought them closer together because they understand what the other has gone through. Their friendship is special of the unspoken understanding they have for one another. Jimin is a very precious person to Daeun and she's been able to become a better person over the years because of his encouragement. She wouldn't have been able to be the person she is today if she didn't have his unwavering support by her side.

The two of them together brings a headache to the rest of the group; their combined teasing makes them insufferable so the other members avoid them when they're together at all costs. Nobody wants to be a victim of their relentless bullying. Even though they are an extremely annoying pair of people to be around, they are very loved within in the group and are perhaps the most loved members.

Daeun and Taehyung became close after Taehyung opened up to her about he felt being the only hidden member of the group. He couldn't understand why he was the only person who had to be hidden and felt lonely about not being able to show himself to the public before debuting. He wasn't close with Daeun until the first deep conversation they shared but felt safe enough with her to spill everything. Daeun provided him immense comfort during those days, reassuring him that he would make the final lineup and the group wasn't complete without him. Her kind and caring heart is what put his worries to ease.

Daeun is Taehyung's biggest cheerleader and is always encouraging him to pursue his interests. When he wanted to learn how to play the violin and trumpet, Daeun looked for the top instructors in the country who was willing to teach him. When he shared that he wasn't to explore jazz music while creating his solo album, she told him she would him produce whatever style of songs his art desired. No matter what Taehyung is interested in, she supports him wholeheartedly.

Definitely one of the most loved friendships among not only ARMYs but within the K-pop world as well. Pictures and videos of them are constantly circulating around the internet as proof that guys and girls can be friends without having romantic feelings for one another. Taehyung and Daeun for life!

☆﹒—﹒JUNGKOOK﹒⟢﹒💤

Since Jungkook is the only member who is younger than Daeun, he's become her baby since the day they met. The boba-eyed boy has always had a special place in her heart and receives special treatment from her. Daeun absolutely adores Jungkook and it's evident in the way that she treats him compared to the others. While she's constantly keeping the other members in place, Jungkook gets away with everything and anything once he flashes her his bunny-like grin. Call it unfair treatment but Daeun can't help dote on him extra.

From the start, Daeun has known that Jungkook had a bright future. With his beautiful vocals and amazing dancing skills, she knew he would easily make a name for himself. She's his biggest cheerleader and wholeheartedly supports all of his endeavors. Jungkook too knew that Daeun would make herself a household name and brags about her accomplishments to anybody who has ears. Is it endearing how much they support each other? Absolutely. Do their friends and family wish they would shut up about each other? 100%.

Daeun has the closest bond with Jungkook out of everybody in the group. They got along immediately upon meeting and after Daeun was the one of the only females trainee left BigHit, Jungkook took it upon himself to spend more time with her. Their families are close to one another because of their friendship which only strengthened their bond over the years.

RELATIONSHIP WITH HYUNG LINE

◯﹒🏩﹗ᵔᴗᵔ﹒ SEOKJIN

Kim Seokjin is Son Daeun's number one protector. Since the day they met, Seokjin has taken great care of Daeun as she was one of the only female trainees under Big Hit. Once the other female trainees left BigHit, he became even more protective over her. Seokjin is known to take no bullshit from the company and ensure that Daeun isn't taken advantage of just because she is the only female member. He gave most if not all of his attention to her during the first few years after they debuted because he worried that she would struggle to adjust to being an idol. A 20-year-old raising a 17-year-old was truly a sight to behold.

Daeun believes that she was put in Seokjin's life to humble him. While he is undeniably handsome, she loves getting a rise out of him by making fun of him whenever he brags about his good looks. Between her and Jungkook, Seokjin's patience is constantly tested. No matter how much Daeun teases him, she has a special place in his heart, and she's his favorite dongsaeng (though he would never admit it out loud).

The two of them are an amusing pair when they are together and have caught the attention of the public because of their entertaining friendship. Not only are they loved by ARMYs, but they are equally loved by South Korea and have been dubbed as the Nation's Best Friends (they give nicknames to anybody and anything).

Truth be told, Yoongi thought it was strange that only one girl was debuting in BTS back when the final lineup was announced. He had no issues with Daeun being part of the group but felt that it made no sense to have only one female member; wasn't she lonely? It would be nice to have at least one other female member in the group with her. He often pities her for being stuck with seven obnoxious men for the foreseeable future.

Yoongi taught Daeun the ropes of producing music when she showed interest after they first debuted. She's produced her fair share of songs for the group and enjoys creating new music for fun. If there was one person Yoongi trusted to help him produce new music, it was Daeun. She certainly has a special talent in creating unique rhythms and beats which Yoongi utilizes when they're working on a new album, even when she creates something for fun.

Daeun and Yoongi are a harmonious pair who have always worked well together like a well-oiled machine. There is great respect and love for one another, making them a wonderful duo who has done many great things for the group as a whole.

⊞﹑ᶻᶻ﹒⪨﹐ HOSEOK ꜛ🩰

Hoseok was very skeptical about Daeun being part of the final lineup for Bangtan. While he had continuously been impressed by her talent and skills, he couldn't understand why there would only be one female idol joining the group. Regardless of his initial feelings, he knew that Daeun fit in just as well as the other members and she was the missing piece that complete BTS. Without Daeun, there would be no BTS.

Just like Seokjin, Hoseok has a special place in his heart for Daeun and it is obvious that he has a soft spot for her. While the other members are scolded during practices when they make one mistake, Hoseok is gentle and patient with her. She used to get in trouble just as much as the others but over the years, she's managed to break down his harsh walls and receives special treatment. That and one time Hoseok made her cry during a practice so he's laid off her since then.

Hoseok is Daeun's sunshine and vitamin, someone who she receives energy and strength from. They're each other's number one supporter and will always show up for the other person.

◉﹐≈﹐🍃﹒⁂ꜝ NAMJOON 

Just like Jungkook, Daeun decided to stay with BigHit because of her crush on Namjoon. His charming personality and cute dimpled smile drew her in and his efforts to care for her absolutely swooned her. She was also impressed with his natural talent for rapping that she knew from the start that she wanted to be under the same company as him. Did she expect to debut in the same group as him? Absolutely not. Did she complain? No way.

Daeun keeps Namjoon grounded and has been his biggest support since he was named the leader of BTS. She knew the burdens that came with being a leader, so she did her best to take some of the weight off his shoulders. While she can't take any responsibilities for him, she works hard to ensure that he eats, drinks water, and sleeps enough to be healthy. Namjoon is incredibly grateful for Daeun and knows he would've struggled tenfold without her.

ARMYs consider both Namjoon and Daeun as the leaders of the group even though only the former has the official title. They work together like a well-oiled machine and have amazing chemistry. Namjoon and Daeun forever <3

ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS

🦪   ⊹   ꒱   SONG KANG (2019-2020)   ᨦ ♡ 

Daeun dated Kang for about a year and a half after they met on Inkigayo when the latter was an MC. She typically isn't the type of person to pursue someone she finds interest in, but Kang was too handsome for her to resist. Lucky for Daeun, she was his celebrity crush for quite some time, so there was no chase. They hit it off immediately upon formally introducing themselves to each other and were serious about their relationship from the start.

They broke up due to their busy schedules, and during the last two months of their relationship, they hardly saw each other. With BTS becoming bigger worldwide and Kang's acting career taking off, they mutually decided to end their relationship. There were a lot of tears and days mourning the broken relationship, which left Daeun moping for a few months. She swore off guys for a year under the insistence that she would never find a guy like Kang. Despite the breakup, they are still friends and are happy to see each other when they get the chance.

If you told 2013 Daeun that present-day Daeun was dating Seokjin she would laugh in your face and tell you to stop being stupid. 2013 Daeun never imagined that present-day Daeun would be stupidly in love with someone she always considered to be her older brother. Quite frankly, neither she nor Seokjin understood how they ended up falling for the other but now they can't imagine not being in love (corny 😒).

Seokjin was very reluctant about acting on his feelings when he realized that he liked Daeun more than a friend. Though the age gap between them is not big, he prepared himself for the possibility of her thinking he was out of his mind and rejecting him. He also didn't want to ruin a decade-long friendship if Daeun didn't feel the same way as him so he tiptoed around his feelings for quite a while. The other members caught on early on that their oldest hyung had a crush on their beloved Daeun which came with a lot of teasing and intimidation (though none of it ever worked because Seokjin pulled the hyung card every time). They did keep Seokjin's feelings to themselves after realizing how sensitive of a topic it was for him.

Daeun also caught on pretty quickly that Seokjin liked her because the way he behaved toward her began to change subtly. She didn't notice it initially but after a few weeks, she couldn't ignore the very obvious signs. She gave him a lot of time to confess his feelings but eventually did it first because she grew tired of waiting for him to say something. Daeun asking him out first was not his proudest moment but it taught Seokjin to always be one step ahead of her.

Funny enough (not funny, it's actually sad), more of their relationship has been spent with Seokjin in the military so they haven't spent much time developing their relationship past whatever they had before he enlisted. While they did see each other when Seokjin was granted time off and texted every second they could, it wasn't enough for either of them. They weren't able to truly begin their relationship until he was discharged.

Daeun and Seokjin revealed their relationship to the public after Seokjin accidentally kissed her in front of everybody when he was being discharged from the military. In his defense, he was eager to see her after being separated for the last few months of his time in jail the military but Daeun, BigHit, and HYBE were less than pleased when he kissed her. Daeun was not happy because she wanted to keep their relationship out of the public eye a little longer and hoped to announce it through Weverse but felt a sense of relief of not having to hide it from the public anymore.

As anticipated, their unexpected relationship reveal caused immense backlash from the public, with some people calling it classless and shameless while others accused them of betraying their fans. They received hate from ARMYs, solos, other fandoms, and irrelevant netizens who had far too much time on their hands but they both laughed about it instead. During their first Weverse live together, Daeun and Seokjin took turns taking jabs at the people who hated on them before the livestream had to be shut down by HYBE.

After the initial hate train died down, the love came pouring in. Many people were delighted by the sudden reveal of their relationship, and they are one of the most popular couples in Korea to this day. Unlike most celebrity couples, Seokjin and Daeun don't hide their relationship from the public and openly post about each other. They felt that there was no need to hide their relationship considering they revealed their relationship in such a shocking way.

Seokjin and Daeun are in a very happy, healthy, and loving relationship, and are sure they have found their soulmate.
