❤️🩹 Weekend Encouragement for Shippers Bruised by Recent Plot Twists ❤️🩹
A beautiful, deeply private 'between the scenes' photo of our Main Heroes - the one I posted here on Thursday - reminded me of its source, an old Instagram post from October 2023 by Hair and Makeup Designer Jules Chapman, who worked on Outlander seasons 7 and 8. (You’ll find the original post through the underlined link.) When you click through, the first two images (after the Outlander title card) feature Sam and Caitríona. The first is a scene from the show, but the second is a very intimate shot taken in bed. It is warm, joyful and glowing with the unmistakable affection shared by our Main Heroes. The next five images are close-ups of Claire, showcasing the hair and makeup details for which Jules was responsible.

. . . Naturally, no one is surprised by this particular kind of 'bundling', where caring for one person conveniently gives you two. And of course it’s these two, not anyone else from the set who might have been standing next to Cait.
This obviously means nothing whatsoever and proves absolutely nothing… right? #cuemymostinnocentsmile
Let’s just enjoy the fact that the bed photo is, quite simply, exquisite.
