EVELYN: Thank you for the sweater, Abi! I absolutely love it. Merry Christmas!
GIRLS DAY || ABIVIA
TAGGING: Abigail Berry & Olivia Rose
DATE: Monday Afternoon
LOCATION: Olivia’s house
NOTES: Abigail comes over and the two catch up while Olivia gives Abigail some advice.
Olivia sat down in the middle of her living room, trying to process even waking it. It felt like it was going to take a while but she knew that she was supposed to spend time with Abi before she had her plans later. Smiling a little to herself, she stood up, running up to her room to change clothes. Letting her head fall against the wall as she pulled on her jeans, she reminded herself that she needed to wrap up the presents that she had for Abi and with that she did and with just enough time to get down to the living room. Grabbing out a water, she took a drink as she waited for the other girl to arrive.
Abi: It had been far to long since Abi and Olivia had hung out with one another. Abi was happy to finally be getting some girl time because there weren't very many girls she got along with at Ohio state and her best friend was a guy and after the week she was having she just needed to get her mind of guys completely. She pulled up to the familiar driveway that belonged to Olivia and Marleys house and smiled softly. She parked the car and got the few presents out of the back seat of her car. She slowly walked up to the door careful not to drop anything. She reached her fist out and softly knocked on the door.
Olivia held onto her presents as she sat on the couch, thinking a little as she did. Just about everything that had been going on with her but it really was just nice to have a girls day for once. Hearing the knock on the door, she placed the presents down before smiling widely at Abi on the other side of the door when she opened it. "Hey! It's so good to see you, Abi!" Taking a step back, she looked back over at her. "Come in?"
Abi: "Hey," Abi said with a bright smile as she took her shoes off then put the presents carefully down on the floor so she could take off her heavy winter coat. "It's great to see you too! How are you,"she asked as she rand a hand through her hair and bent over to grab the boxes. "The one on the bottom is for your mom and the two on top are for you.I kind of went a little overboard this year,"she said with a small chuckle.
Olivia placed out her hand for the girls coat, turning to place it on the coat hanger and then smiled widely as she held out her presents. Reaching for them, she walked over to the couch before placing the beside hers for the girl and then turned to hug her gently. "I'm great, really I couldn't ask to be any better," she finished as she looked over at the presents and then placed her presents for Abi onto her lap. "How are you? Also these are for you. I know that I told myself just one for people this year but I ended up getting two so you just have to deal with it," she teased, turning to face her more on the couch before letting out a soft sigh. "I've missed you."
Abi: smiled as she walked over to the couch and sat down next to the other girl. "I'm alright kind of mad at myself for drunk texting people last night,"she said with a laugh as she relaxed her back on to the couch. "Oh thank you. you really didn't have to get me anything really,"she said putting them to the side. She wanted to just focus on them for the time being it had been way to long since the two of them had gotten the chance to do anything with college and what not. "So what should we do on our girls day?"
Olivia listened to Abi quietly as she raised her eyebrows to the thought of drunk texting. "You drunk texted people? May I ask who?" She was curious to know who it was exactly but didn't really want to push to figure it out. "You're welcome and you know that I did. It wouldn't be like me if I didn't get you something for Christmas. I do every year," she couldn't help but smile as she looked over at the other before letting out a soft sigh. "Well, I was thinking about maybe just hanging out, going to get our nails done if you want and if not then we can just hang out and talk and stuff like that, I wouldn't object."
Abi: Shrugged her shoulders and shook her head "I think just Puck but I very well could have texted someone else and deleted it," She said with a small laugh, "But we're in the middle of an awkward conversation right now," she said gesturing to her phone in her head but then putting her attention back on Olivia. "That is very true. Mmm we could get our nails done and talk more. I haven't gotten them done in like a year.?"
Olivia tucked her feet under her body as she looked over at the girl. "What made the awkward conversation happen? You have to tell me more in order for me to know." She was confused to say the least, she just wanted to make sure that her friend was happy and right then, awkward didn't mean happy. "We can. We can head out after gifts to get them done. I haven't been able to get mine done, because school and everything but now I just need it and so do you."
Abi: Let out a sigh if there was one person she could trust with this it was Olivia. "Well I dont know if you knew but for like a year now I've had these not so friendly feelings for Puck. I tried to get over it ya know since there is no way anything would come out of it.so At the start of the semester Braden and I went out a few times and then I started to like him and that really freaked me out for more than just the Puck stuff. So I shut him out. But anyway I texted him last night telling him I almost dated his brother and then fell asleep," she said as she could feel blush on her face and she didn't want to look at Olivia. This is why she didn't talk about stuff like this it just made her feel weird. She nodded her head in agreement as she started to unwrap one of the presents.
Olivia listened to her as she went on about what was happening with the boys and then she let her eyes grow wide when she spoke about Braden and Puck. Letting her chin rest on her knees, she listened quietly and tried to figure out what she could do to help. "Okay, so. What I'm getting is that you like Braden but you also like Puck? So, I mean, do you have more feelings for Braden or Puck? Who do you want to be with more?" She asked softly as she looked up at her in thought. She wasn't sure what to tell her to do but she wanted to help. When she started to open her first, she smiled widely at the necklace that was inside with a little birthstone inside of it, being Abi's.
Abi: Didn't even hesitate "Puck. But seeing how all he said when he forced it out of me was 'is that why you wanted me to bang you?' Nothings going to ever happen unless its just sex again which I doubt will happen now," she groaned and looked up at the ceiling, "This is why I don't like having feelings for people it fucks everything up, " and Braden is such a nice guy who I just shut out because I figured we'd date like be in a relationship and one day he'd just wake up thinking no knowing that he could do so much better than me,"she said as she resisted the urge to just start crying which she hadn't done in years. She took a deep breath and fully unopened the box and smiled. "Wow thank you it's beautiful. Now you open one of yours," she said as she pulled herself back together and handed her a box with a pink sweater and a portable coffee cup that said 'be nice to me I could be your nurse some day.'
Olivia was a little taken back when she answered so quickly and she ran her hands over her face slowly. "Okay, Abi, listen. You need to stop. Just slow yourself down a little because you are a great girl and your feelings are everywhere. It's not good to have all of those feelings. If you know that you and Puck won't work, you should try and make those feelings go away. Try to just figure it out and distance yourself because nothing is worse than hurting like that. Braden doesn't deserve to be hurt, he is a great guy and you shut him out. I adore you but that is going to be your loss and I'm sorry. I wouldn't want someone to hurt you like that and well, now he's my friend. So, don't drag him on, okay? That's hard on a person like him. He deserves to be first place, not second. You know it." Smiling a little as she reacted, she grabbed her box and then clapped her hands together. "I love it! I'm taking this coffee cup everywhere. Seriously, everywhere."
Abi: "I'm just messed up. The whole Braden thing just wasn't about Puck it was mostly me. This is what happens when you don't have feelings for someone for 3 years and it just sucks beacause I'm almost 20 years old and haven't had an adult relationship. I'm fucking lonley," she said shaking her head, "but it doesn't matter because I messed it up with both of them now so it's whatever neither of them want me. God why did I sleep with Puck?." Abi managed to smile when Olivia liked her gift "I saw it and knew I had to get it for you."
Olivia shook her head slowly as she looked at the other girl. "You're not messed up, it's just a situation that you can't help or fix now. It happens. Just stop looking. Stop trying to find it and let it come to you. That's all that you have to do. Let it come to you. Because if you're not careful you're going to look needy looking and you aren't needy." Leaning back into the couch, she laughed. "It's perfect so thank you so much."
Abi: "Thanks," Abi said and dropped the subject completely but not before sighing and running a hand threw her hair. "So where did you want to go to get are nails done. The usual," she asked with her best smile as she pulled her hair up with the hair tie on her wrist and putting the necklace around her neck carefully.
Olivia "You're welcome." Smiling a little, she looked around before placing her present on the table and then stood up to place her hand out for Abi's. "The usual and we can get going if you're ready to go now," she added, smiling down at her. She was going to make the best of the night, it was going to happen if she could help it.
