1. Who is the better cook?
Wow, geee, it couldn't be the one who is the professional chef. Chef absolutely does most of the cooking and Bumi is not allowed in the kitchen. It's not that Bumi is particularly bad at cooking. He can whip up a tasty meal on the fly, he learnt while in the UF. It's just that Chef likes to cook for the people he loves.
Bumi probably. Latent 'grew up in the coldass southern water tribe' instincts. Chef will be awkwardly spooning onto Bumi, trying to retain at least some heat
19. What do they fight about most often? (Alternative: what was their biggest fight?)
Honestly I don't think they get into fights often. They will bicker about small things like what to have for breakfast and stuff. But no big fights imo. Like they've both been very bloodthirsty in their youths so they've defined mellowed out in their oldet ages.
Their biggsat fight was an hours long naval battle including 4 ships. 3 of those ships sunk that day... the screams if those taken by the murky depths and sharks will forever exho in the ears of the survivors. The water had turned red with blood... the smoke from the canons eclipsed the blazing sunlight. Chef lost the fineat right hand man he'd ever had to Bumi's hand to hand combat skills. He almost lost his own life too... saved himself only by unleashing his pet iguana parrot, sir Pecksalot the III onto the bastard. Bumi still has the faint indent intue shell of his left ear where he was pecked....
They still reminisce fondly over it during tea 🍵☀️
39. Do they get along witg the other's family? If not, how do they deal with the other's family?
Chef probably gets along with Bumi's family pretty well. The kids afore him and he adores them. They probably remind him of he Beifong babies when they were younger. He always has snacks and goodies to bribe them with.
He gets along swimmingly with Pema and they defo swap recipies. He probably bonds with Kya about travelling and stuff like that.
Though I can see there being some tension between him and Tenzin. I'm not sure how happy Tenzin would be about his brother dating an ex pirate and said ex pirate hanging out with his kids????
Katara probably calls Chef 'the nicest pirate she's ever met' and they get along super well.
The closest Chef has to family are probably the Beifongs and Bumi is at least semi friendly with them. Like he knows Su well, of course and he definitely still treats her like a little sister lol. He's probably very friendly to the kids too. Mostly with Opal because they're airbending buddies. Though I could also see him sorta bonding with Baatar Jr over their similarities too. He definitely calls himself their uncle Bumi and they're like 'Pls sir we don't know you that well??? You're not our uncle?'
