Hi bud

So about this piece. First off, I’m so glad a lot of people still appreciate him and this piece, means a lot to me. Second, this was an old piece that I did during that time that I decided to repost for nostalgia sake, as this was originally posted in my Instagram and X. And third, I want to share 3 few bits of story about this piece because it still means so much to me of the little things I added to make it feel so special.

1. The little piggy pin on his lapel is supposed to signify as his little fan base that he will always carry with him.

2. The gems on his belt is actually the diamond gift that Phil gave him one time. The green one hanging from his ear is a nod to the Emerald Duo.

And finally.

3. This piece took me longer than I intend to, to finish. I was already in the process of rendering it since I didn’t feel satisfied with my first attempt that I posted earlier in the year when I heard the news. It was so hard to look at what I made then just retelling the news of his passing in my head thinking how final everything feels. The way I already drew him with a satisfied, peaceful and yet confident expression, eyes closed, I couldn’t bring myself to draw without crying. It took me 3 months for me to pick it up again and finish it because I thought in my head, he deserves another piece of art in his fanbase to memorialize him.

So to the buds seeing this, thank you again for the support and continued love to this legend.
