Until the mid-1930s, movie theaters used hand tinted glass lantern slides for advertising – akin to today's preshow entertainment. Jean Arthur was the female lead in over a dozen budget features produce between 1924–26 by Action Picture Productions and released by Weiss brothers –Art Class Pictures. The original negatives were destroyed in a fire. In 1979 Kit Parker interviewed her and asked if she recalled appearing in them.
