starter: closed @buddywellls where: fired up
alma sits alone at the booth in fired up. it's pretty busy today, and a wonder she even found a place to sit with her margherita without having to invade someone elses space. waiting for no one, rather enjoying the time spent alone before the evening shift at the store. it's then she catches a familiar face stepping through the door, as the chime it triggers echoes throughout the room.
alma never went out of her way to talk to buddy when she saw him around town. it wasn't as if she despised him, held a grudge or anything of the sort, she just never had anything to say. they weren't friends in high school, rather acquaintances by association. she accepted his initial apology, albeit it came almost a decade too late in a way, but it was enough and she wouldn't ask for more.
