I went up to Ely for EEL DAY this year! My first ever - it was great, and we had a lovely time looking at the parade, the eels, the various eel-themed oddments in the park,  making a mad dash to Peacocks when it started pissing down, making it before everyone else, and then just luxuriating in there with endless tea and cake.  The perfect British folk festival experience!
