there's something so symbolic about buffy's first experience after resurrection being her town burning around her, watching herself being literally ripped apart and then having to save everyone again. right after she dug herself out of her own grave

the 'magic is drugs' thing s6 had going makes the whole giles being inbued with the coven's powers to defeat willow in the finale so much funnier. its the equivilent of your friend getting absolutely blasted on cocaine and going on a rampage you cant talk them down from so you get your dad to get even more blasted on cocaine so he can fight them in your other friend's essential oils store

don’t know if this has been talked about, but its a fun contrast that in season 2 Buffy says to Angel that kissing him makes her want to die (not something i’d personally want to hear from someone I want to kiss btw) but during season 6 she kisses and fucks around with Spike in order to feel more alive…
