Today I have been reading about branding and a brand’s voice & tone. The sources (1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8) have given me a lot to think about and questions to answer.

Currently my client uses both Unique Boutique by Nicole and UBBN as names for her business. Should part of the branding strategy be that she only uses one name or both, but only in certain situations?

My client has a logo that she uses on her website. How did she come up with this logo? Does she only have this logo in one size? Does she wish to change the logo or its colors?

What type of voice and tone is my client already using?

I already know my client has several digital channels for her content, but does she have any print channels? Shipping labels, business cards, etc.?

When the project reaches the build phase, will we take her current site down during that time? What time frame will be best for my client during this phase?

These questions will definitely give me a place to start when it comes to branding, which has really shown itself to be something I should take into consideration moving forward.

Feeling good!

Last weekend I definitely had a bad case of bloat. It's gone now and I'm feeling a lot better. It was 100% pms, some lack of water, and some salty food that combined & resulted in a big belly and frustration. Part of me guessed that it was bloat, but I had never experienced it quite so bad before!

Anyway, now I've had some really great eating days back to back and I'm feeling a lot better.

One struggle I had was over the next phase of my training - "Build". I have about one or two more weeks (I think I'll make it one, I'm ready to change it up) of my initial "Re-education" phase left. The constant dieter in me really doesn't want to go into a build phase without having reached my goal weight first; "Building", eating more, and gaining more fat (along with the intended muscle) scares me. I need to still fit in my clothes/can't afford to get new clothes. HOWEVER, I'm excited about building more muscle - especially in my butt! I know that the best way to get the glorious bubble butt of my dreams is to give my body the fuel it needs to build more muscle. AND, I have goals that will be reached a lot easier if I'm building a good amount of muscle - pull-ups, push-ups, 100 lb squat...

So despite the internal conflict I'm going to go ahead with the plan that the personal trainer outlined for me. I'll finish this week of my "re-education" then switch up my routine to a "Build" phase for 6 weeks. Let's see what happens!
