Simple Chinese Courtyard

I had simple request of wanting this season a very simple layout, like an old style Chinese courtyards where there is lot of small houses with lot of green space in a middle. I pulled my bf sleeve as usually to try to build it for me as he is our hive hobby constructor with all needed skins ^x^'

Something a little different for the Dragons of Elswere series! A build showcase for Voidstone, the demon town. There’s a lot of lore in this one, and some explanation of some of the difficulties of building such a large town. Mostly stuff about lag problems and such. Buuuut there were a few funny anecdotes that weren’t included but happened during the construction of the town.

You probably can’t see it, but one of the larger buildings in town near the clocktower was built excruciatingly slowly. It was the tallest building I’d ever built, and I had to somehow make sure it looked good. So I worked on just that building for who knows how long.

Well it turned out that some of the members of the group without minecraft or having trouble with the mods wanted to see how things were going. So, naturally, I volunteered to livestream a scene over twitch. Let’s just say that shenanigans ensued, and we kept having to take breaks from doing a scene for the viewers. Then began the first ever “Building Voidstone with Willow” livestream, as I, very done with the goings on of the others, decided to work on some building. There were of course some people still watching me, and a few random people who hopped in to watch as well. And...let’s just say I didn’t realize that my headset mic was connected to the stream, so everyone got to hear me talking. I also was unknowingly playing music to the whole livestream from Pandora! Luckily, this was before Voidstone got really laggy and before I had to switch to my slower computer, so the stream was pretty high quality.

Eventually I figured out that everyone could hear me and after a short freak out started having fun with it. Sadly, it turned out that the stream didn’t record because of my twitch settings, or else I would totally link you all to it. Anyway, that’s my fun little story about the making of Voidstone. Maybe for the next showcase I can share in the video some silly stories as well!
