05.12.18 // i want to make my upload game strong! i did most of this spread during presentations of another group, but i love it! the white gel pen is such a game changer i feel. it makes this spread look nice. i was actually taking these pics as the sun went down, but im not too late on the december monthly no? haha.
Now that the year is coming to the end, I’ve decided to share with y’all my favorite pages from my first bullet journal. It’s been an incredible and happy and painful journey, I’ve learned a lot about myself this year and will continue to do so by loving myself (you can’t stop me lovin’ myself~ lol)
If you’re starting a bullet journal just remember to have fun, be creative, it doesn’t have to be aesthetically pleasing, just be you. I had lots of fun with the themed ones. Like series, art, music, you can even write song lyrics. I also wrote BTS’ United Nations speech cause they inspire me so much and I’m so grateful to have them in my life. And y’all remember Outcast, that shit was fireee~
Can’t wait for 2019, focus on yourself, block them negative people in your lives and have a Happy (early) new year!!!

2018 Bullet Journal Favourites
As 2018 has come to an end I thought I would post my favourite pages. This isn’t my first bullet journal, but I think the first that has worked well for me. My chosen layout didn’t leave me many free pages after the traditional weekly/monthly spreads. but here are my favourites.
Recipes
I decided to make a double paged spread to keep lists of ingredients for my favourite recipes that I knew I wanted to make again. It was a very simple thing to set up, just a few post-it-notes glued to page and then some washi tape added to make it look a little better.
Movies and Television
I watch a lot of Netflix and movies and am always binging some show or another, so I thought it would be useful to try out these movie/television trackers I had kept seeing on Pinterest. Turns out that 2018 wasn’t really my year for completing binges. With nothing major to procrastinate (like exams) I didn’t watch as much Netflix as I thought, hence the unfinished trackers.
Sleep Log
In June I tried a sleep log. This is something that I don’t think I’m going to replicate in future bullet journals as I don’t have any problems with my sleep patterns and it just took me more time that I wanted to figure out when I went to sleep.
Halfway There Photos
At the beginning of July I decided that as I hadn’t managed to do any memory/photo pages until this point, I would choose my favourite from the first six months of the year. In the mix are photos from when Millie and I spent a week in Paris and a photo when all our friends (even those at university) managed to meet up for Easter.
Music
This year I discovered the band Sleeping At Last and obsessively listened to their music for a few months. I knew September was going to have a music based monthly front cover so I thought I would contrast the retro vibes of the cassette with a digital music doodle. I chose my favourite Sleeping At Last song East (which I highly recommend you go listen to) and drew a pretty landscape.
Fandom Directions
Something my bullet journal is missing this year has been allusions and quotes from my various fandoms. So when I stumbled across a picture of a signpost created by someone who had very similar interests to me, I decided to try and draw one that suited my likes and also got to try out different fonts.
Heathers the Musical
Millie and I managed to get tickets to watch Heathers the Musical in London at the end of November. We were eager to go see this because we had been blown away by Carrie Hope Fletcher’s performance in The Addams Family back in 2017. I would have loved to do a double page spread with some of my favourite quotes from the musical, but had to make do with just one as I was quickly running out of pages.
Christmas
Ideally I would’ve done a christmas planning page, but I knew I would need more than one page for that, so instead I did a christmas countdown string of lights. I saw the idea on Pinterest and really liked it. I think it is definitely one of these things that looks a lot better finished than it did whilst in progress.
2018 has now come to an end and I’m actually a little bit sad to retire this bullet journal even though I have filled every last page. I’m super excited to start my new one too and adjust the layouts I have liked most.
Hope 2019 starts off well for everyone

the first proper page in my 2018 bullet journal! I’m actually pretty proud of this, even if my handwriting looks kinda scrawny ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
