June 18 : Favorite Subject #BuJune . My all time fave subject is English. It’s probably because my mom was a former English teacher and she was my tutor until I was in 1st grade. She then went to Hong Kong to work, and I was left with my love of the subject. I’ve had decently high grades all throughout elementary and high school. . Fun Fact: I used to speak English more than I spoke my own national language (Tagalog), since the city where I grew up only spoke my mother tongue/ dialect (Cebuano). I know how to speak my language of course because it has its own subject in the Philippines. Now, I use it as often as English and Cebuano. . But ever since I started college, I’ve started to love Accounting. I didn’t have any Accounting subjects in high school (cause I used to hate Math). It was mandatory for my college program, so I didn’t have any other choice. At the end of the semester, I realized that it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would, and I actually enjoyed it. . PS: Sorry if I flood posts today, I’m just trying to catch up (again) for #BuJune
i never posted this but babies
June 17 : Underrated Alternatives #BuJune 👀 Okay so, I don't own that much stationery to know which pens are good alternatives for our very well known and loved/ rated pens and markers. BUT I do own enough to say that I have a few of those alternatives. . The first ones would be the Monami 0.4 Pens (which I am holding in the picture). They're really smooth to use and are really vibrant. They're a good alternative for Muji pens. I don't know where to find them tho. I just got these from a pen shop in a Chinese mall here in Toronto. . Another one would be the Fineline felt tip pens (the one in the background). I would say that they're OKAY alternatives for the Steadler Felt tip pens, but I don't think it's good enough to compete. After all, I just got these at Dollarama (a dollar store here in Canada). They write great, don't get me wrong. You can totally get these if you're on a budget since they're only $3.50. But you might as well get the Staedler ones if you're planning to get high quality ones. Just take note: it's around $20, so yeah... . On that note, you can make this as an alternative to any high quality felt tip pens. Just remember, it justifies its price.
June 16 : Flatlay Friday with color combinations. #BuJune . YAAYYY! I feel so accomplished being able to catch up with #BuJune FINALLY! Anyway, since it's summer for me, forgive me for not posting that much school related stuff. . For today's flatlay color combo, I chose purple and pink pastel colors, with white, and a hint of blue. I just love how the colors are so simple, yet they compliment each other. . Btw, this is my new sketch book that I bough the other day, and I'm probably going to use this with my doodle practices. It's not too suitable for my handlettering practices since the brush pens can't glide on the paper. It's too rough and thick. . Anyway, till next time guys! Hope y'all didn't mind me flooding.
June 15: Handwriting Challenge #BuJune . So I'm aware that I already did a handwriting tag, but here's an updated version of my handwriting (although nothing really changed much) . This is probably the first picture that I'll post of me using my Tombow Dual Brush Pen. I just love how it makes me feel so better at cursive (although I'm not) I'm trying to practice with them cause they're just really great to use. I'm also probably gonna play with some blending techniques with it. Hopefully I get better at my handwriting first tho. . Anyway, please suggest some colors/ numbers of Tombows that I should buy next (maybe those that are pastel or are suitable for my feed) . PS: I already have the 772, 673, and 603
June 14 : Organizational System of #BuJune . I honestly have no idea what that means, but I'm just going to show you how I organize my pens. The middle pencil holder holds my black/grey pens, markers, and pencils that I use most of the time. The left one holds my colorful pens (in this case, my 0.38 muji pens), and on the left are my highlighters - mildliners. . I honestly have a lot more pens and markers, but I just took a picture of the most important ones. . PS: this picture is killing my OC. The middle pencil holder is not really in the middle. Unfortunately, I can't go back in time and move it a little bit to the right. Just please, don't mind that tiny detail (which is bothering me so damn much) I'm so sorry. 😂😭
June 13 : How I take notes #BuJune . Pardon me, but I'm gonna have to flood posts today. . Anyway, I apologize if my handwriting is a little bit blurry. I just write ever so lightly, which is why you cab barely see what I'm writing down. But that's not my point for this post. My notes consists of a lot of titles, headings, subheadings (cause I love to organize my notes), terms and their definitions, bullet points, and sometimes, charts. . I usually write down important points any teacher/ prof will say during discussions (no matter how messy my handwriting can be), and I rephrase them as much as I can. If I don't, I just revise them when I get home. . That's how I retain my info. How do you do your notes? Any suggestions for me? (Please comment. I'd love to hear from you.)
