Happy 6k! I've never done one of these, I'm so excited and I hope I'm doing this right. Can I get the Eastern State Penitentiary with Dex with House Tour by Sabrina Carpenter? With the part where she goes "So are you coming in or what?"
I think Dex would try so hard to be a gentleman on a first date, and wouldn't assume he'd get invited up, which would make me want to invite him up even more ;)
Up to you if it's an overnight stay or not! Congratulations again!
thank you so much nonnie!
I think you're right, he's a very good boy, and like miss carpenter said a little respect for women can get you very very far 😏

benjamin poindexter wants a house tour
Dex was a perfect gentleman. Almost suspiciously too perfect. He’d picked you up promptly at seven-thirty pm on the dot, and instead of showing up with a generic bouquet of roses, he’d had an arrangement of your favorite flowers, in your favorite color. When you’d asked him how he knew those were your favorite, he’d given you a boyish grin and a simple shrug, saying it was a ‘lucky guess’.
He’d made a reservation at a nice Italian place, not too fancy, but not a casual spot either. Apparently a love of Italian food was something you two had in common. He opened every door for you, he pulled out your chair at the restaurant, and he complimented how you looked without his eyes lingering too long on your chest.
Throughout dinner, he was incredibly attentive, asking you questions that he actually seemed to care to know the answer to. He only talked about himself when prompted by inquiries from you. His eye contact was…intense, and there were a few moments where you felt like you were being studied, like he was cataloging every piece of information you were giving him and storing it away. It made you squirm a little in your seat, but it was also…nice. You couldn’t remember the last time you’d been on a date where the guy didn’t dominate the conversation without letting you get a word in, proudly boasting about themselves and their accomplishments, making it seem like being out with them was some kind of privilege.
He was extremely polite. He paid the tab before the waiter even had a chance to set it on the table. And the best, and most relieving part, was that he didn’t appear to expect anything. It didn’t feel like a transaction for sex. He didn’t even make a flirty suggestion about you coming back to his place with some half assed excuse. When dinner was over, he simply drove you back to your apartment, and asked if he could walk you up.
You were almost certain once he was standing in front of your front door, he’d finally drop the nice guy act and make a move, but his hands were in his pockets, he was standing with a respectful distance between you. He wasn’t even eye-fucking you.
“I had a really great time tonight. Thanks for coming out with me.”
“Thank you for taking me. I had a really great time, too.”
Dex seemed to beam at this, and you could see the pride in his eyes from hearing that he’d done well, that you’d enjoyed the date too.
“Can I see you again?”
Sinking your top teeth down into your bottom lip, you couldn’t help but smile at the hopefulness in his voice. The one thing he hadn’t hid all night was how much he liked you.
“Yeah, I’d like that.”
“Okay. I’ll uh, I’ll call you.”
A second of silence passed as Dex looked at you, and you thought he was about to lean in, but instead he cleared his throat, and flashed you another charming grin.
“Alright, well uh, goodnight.”
You’d thought he was playing the long game, and very well at that, but he really wasn’t going to invite himself inside, and that just made you want to invite him in even more. Arching one of your brows, your lips stretched into a flirty smirk.
“That’s it?”
Dex’s expression shifted into clear confusion at your question.
“What do you mean?”
“You wine and dine me, and you’re not even gonna try and kiss me goodnight?”
Dex blinked twice, and then he let out a breathy laugh at your blunt question.
“Did you…want me to?”
“Did you think I let you walk me up with innocent intentions?”
The second the bold question left your lips, you saw it. That complete shift in him. The perfect gentleman that had been so respectful and polite all evening was now staring down at you in barely restrained hunger, and it sent a shiver of excitement down your spine. You realized then that Benjamin Poindexter was not what he seemed, and you were about to see what he’d kept under wraps all night.
Turning to slip your key into the lock, you twisted it with a click, turning the knob to open the door. Glancing back at him over your shoulder, you granted him another flirty smirk, conveying exactly what you wanted with your eyes.
Hello! So i was wondering if ya can write something fluff., like so fluff little dirty, make out stuff and touching in the end, if ya wanna make it real smut in the end it’s okay, kinda better!!!!
with ddba! Dex
Like in s2 ep4, or whatever somethin like that, reader lives opposite him, in the same building ya know,
Abd dont forget the old lady thats says “such a nice boy” lives between them too, so anyway reader never met dex and she’s so social and stuff and chatter box always talkin, and hot, and sweet and playful or whatever, anyway he met her once opening door and the same time and she’s like “wow! Hi!! Finally met you man! I always wondered who’s that private mysterious neighbor”
Smiling widly enthusistic then tease him, and he’s like striken tryin to swallow, and frowning tryin to process that he never met such a creature after he see how she’s so nice or whatever, anyway he then start stalkin her, until they meet again couple of times coffe shop chattin and on the stairs mettings and stuff make it so cute, and dex is so hot!!! :)))
Anyway and then there are some parts where dex gets jealouse seeing the reader standing pressed in her door smilling and melting at some hot guy, while dex standing in the end if the stairs watchin her broken (sorry i live for the jealousy things so much, like it’s my favourite parts always specially when the reader doesn’t know what she’s doing and she’s naive ‘bout it!) anyway dex later hears some giggling and moaning, and to be honest they are really messing around and. Into eachother but there’s nothin dirty or seriouse between ‘em,
Just some flirting.
Some way how anyway it’s happy ending in some month after they go alout dex and reader of course, coffe shops, banan milkshake, and reader sometimes inviting him to some of her stuff, like social stuff i dont know, running, or market or music shop,
Anyway i dont know someday they end up in of their’s apartment, maybe the reader’s and they finally kiss, make out hard or whatver
Anyway make dex in the request so down for her but ya know like in ddba he’s like so dom ya know.. ya know what i mean hot but not pathetic like in s3 :’)
I’m sorry if i have alot of ideas!! Like it’s really alot, I feel like im forcing stuff! Thank you anywayy!
Hello!! Thanks for your request. I'm currently working on another request very similar to yours, also using neighbor!dex, so I hope you don't mind if I combine both! I think it would be easier for me since they're similar.
I'll link this post to the other request when I finish it ;)
DDBA S2 DEX STALKING HOT NUN AT THE CHURCH ACROSS THE STREET (i will literally crawl on my hands and knees for you, i beg)
ask and you shall receive my child 😇
blessing in disguise.
word count: 1.6k
Dex had the curtains of the windows in his living room pulled open, and he stood in front of the one on the right, waiting patiently. From across the street, he had a perfect view of the back of Clinton church and the little garden behind it. The sky was overcast this morning, dense clouds of dark grey blocking the golden rays of daylight, but Dex knew she would still be there. He’d been watching her for two and a half months now, and he knew her routine like the back of his hand. Every Saturday morning, from nine thirty to ten, she was out there. He glanced over at the clock on the wall, and delight curved at the edge of his mouth.
9:29 am.
The heat from the coffee in his hands permeated through the paper, warming his fingers and his palm, and the scent of hazelnut escaped through the small hole towards the edge of the plastic lid. The flavor had grown on him. He’d gotten a headstart this morning, heading down early to the cafe two blocks over so he’d be back in time to see her. His eyes flickered to the clock once again.
9:30 am.
When she finally appeared, Dex felt the coils of anticipation unravel within him, and his posture relaxed as if the air of calmness that always followed her made its way to him through the pane of glass. His own lips spread almost instantly to mirror the smile present on hers. It didn’t matter that the sun was still hidden and the absence of it created a faint chill, she brought the warmth and light with her wherever she went.
She always started with the flowers. He often wondered what it would feel like for her fingertips to gently caress his skin the way she did those soft petals. He’d snuck into the garden after hours a few times, following the path she took every week through the garden, letting his own fingers brush over the velvet vibrancies as he looked between them and the book he’d gotten from the library to learn what each one was. Dahlias and peonies, a couple Chrysanthemums, some Roses and Marigolds, and a few Dandelions.
After watering the soil and deadheading the wilting blooms, she usually cut a few stems for the arrangements she made inside, and then ventured over to the side where the herbs grew. He watched her cut some stems from the Rosemary and Sage, the staples she used in a lot of her breads for the church bake sales, before turning her attention to the Lavender and Eucalyptus. Every move she made was so effortless and graceful, and it was incredibly soothing to him to watch. When she got to the Basil, he knew it was time to leave. She always saved Basil for last.
Dex looped around the opposite side of the church and went down a block before turning to head back so that it would look like he was coming from the direction of the cafe. He held the coffee cup in his hand, the logo intentionally facing out, and reached the wrought iron fence surrounding the back of the church right as she was finishing up.
“Good morning, Sister Y/N.”
As she turned her head, a bright smile stretched at the edges of her mouth, the same one that always appeared when she saw him. He still remembered the first time she’d gifted him with it two and a half months ago, the one that had initiated this unrelenting magnetic pull in his chest. It still felt electric every single time.
“Oh, good morning, Ben.”
Dex leaned casually against the fence, taking a sip from the coffee cup before gesturing towards the garden with it.
“So, you’re the reason this always looks so good.”
He caught the way her smile dimmed slightly with modesty, and she averted her gaze to her own work with a flush beginning to tint her cheeks.
“Well, the other nuns help too, but I do love gardening. It’s relaxing for me. And I like to use the herbs when I bake.”
Dex’s lips spread into a charming grin.
“The fresh herbs definitely make a difference. I don’t think I’ve ever had anything as good as that Rosemary parmesan sourdough you made for the last bake sale. I should’ve bought two.”
He relished in the way she subtly bit her bottom lip before her lips spread into something bashful, a hint of pride sparkling in her eyes.
“You don’t have to wait for the next bake sale, I could always make you another.”
Dex turned to face the fence fully now, resting his elbows on the dull speared tips of the posts, looking appropriately grateful but purposefully hesitant.
“I wouldn’t ask you to go through all that trouble just for me.”
“It’s no trouble, I make fresh loaves every week.”
“Well I can’t pass up an offer like that.”
He lightly tapped his index finger twice against the cup, a gesture that would appear unconscious, but it was an intentional signal to draw her attention to it. He watched her eyes drop down to it just as he’d intended, seeing the recognition sparking in them, and he had to make an effort to contain his pleased smirk when he saw the excited smile on her face as she pointed to it.
“I love that place.”
Dex looked down at the cup, feigning surprise as if he’d forgotten it was in his hand and dangled right in front of her like enticing bait.
“Oh yeah? Me too. Best coffee I’ve found in the city. You ever tried their pastries? They have a pretty good chocolate croissant.”
He watched her face light up with the same elation that always appeared on someone’s face when they discovered they had something in common with someone. It was a universal desire in the human experience, finding invisible tethers of connection that reduced the ache of loneliness. As she slipped off her gardening gloves and came closer to the fence, the sound of her soft laughter ignited a thrill that rushed through him.
“I love their chocolate croissants. I always get one with my hazelnut cappuccino."
Dex let out a dry laugh, feigning disbelief at this revelation he’d known for two and a half months already. Every Saturday when she finished up in the garden, she walked the two blocks to the cafe to get a chocolate croissant and a hazelnut cappuccino, every single time, which had consequently become Dex’s order.
“You’re joking. That’s what I get.”
She seemed genuinely surprised by this, and he watched that effortless excitement fade just slightly. It would’ve been almost imperceptible to anyone else, but Dex never missed anything. She looked him up and down as if studying him, and there was just the faintest sliver of suspicion in her gaze.
“Really? I pictured you as a black coffee guy.”
He knew she was thinking the odds didn’t seem plausible, or that he was lying, feigning a shared interest in the way people did when they wanted to get closer to someone, which…he was doing. But he’d prepared an explanation for that. He gave a subtle shrug of his shoulders with an easy smile.
“No, never been a black coffee guy. It’s too bitter for my liking. Tell you the truth, I was on a vanilla latte kick for a while, but they gave me the wrong order by accident one time, and I was quickly converted. Turns out I really like hazelnut.”
The rehearsed lie slipped from his tongue with ease, and the bright smile that returned to her lips told him she bought it.
“Blessing in disguise.”
“It definitely was.”
He let just a hint of the burning intensity he felt for her flicker in his eyes and dropped his voice to a more intimate tone, just to gauge her reaction to the dual meaning. He saw the subtle working of her throat as she swallowed, averting her gaze for a moment as that heat returned to her cheeks. He held his breath, hoping he hadn’t overshot his little experiment too much.
“I…I usually go there every Saturday, after I’m done here.”
He detected a trace of hesitance in her voice, and he could see it when she looked at him again. His lungs were beginning to burn from depriving them of oxygen, but he was waiting to see which direction she was taking with this. She fiddled with one of the fingers of her gardening gloves, a subconscious action he’d learned to associate with anxiety or lack of confidence in a situation.
“If you…I mean…you just went there this morning, so you might not want-”
“I could go again.”
Dex quickly interjected before she talked herself out of what he hoped she was asking.
The apprehension seemed to fade with his reassurance, and as if she held some kind of divinity in her fingertips, the clouds finally divided to let the sunlight slip through when her sweet smile parted her lips, like she’d commanded the heavens to reopen with just one gesture. The golden rays that were suddenly cast upon her face made her look like an angel standing in front of him.
Okay okay okay so I'm still mentally in Dex's apartment from episode four and it made me think of the end of the offer series so I wanted to request the hoa hoa hoa forest with Dex and reader living in domestic bliss in Italy and can you throw in the white tank top and grey sweats and him making breakfast and whatever else your genius brain thinks of 👀

locked between us epilogue
The warmth of early morning sunshine caressed your cheeks, along with a summer breeze that blew in through the open window, making the curtains billow with a gentle ruffle. The scent of freshly brewed coffee started to rouse you first, and then the lively sounds of the streets of Palermo below had your eyes fluttering open. Every morning felt like waking in a dream within a dream, a bubble you subconsciously waited to be popped by familiar sounds of the city, but they never came.
It had been four months since you and Dex had left New York and started a brand new life in Italy, and every second of it was accompanied with a sense of peace neither one of you had ever felt before.
In the kitchen, Dex was standing at the stove with his back to you, sipping coffee while flipping something in a pan. He’d been up early, you could tell by how neat and tidy the apartment was. His dirty blond hair was still mussed from sleep, and from your greedy fingers tugging at his roots last night. The white tank top he wore gifted you a decadent view of the muscles in his back flexing as he set down the mug to reach for another egg to crack open in the pan. The Italian sun had kissed his skin with a golden hue that made the veins in his arms more noticeable, making you want to trace them with your tongue.
And God did those grey sweats make his ass look incredible.
“It’s rude to stare, Doc.”
You hadn’t even noticed you’d been caught until you tore your eyes away from his ass and saw he was shooting you a knowing smirk over his shoulder. A blush tinted your cheeks, and your lips split into a grin.
“I was admiring the view.”
His hazel eyes tracked your figure as you walked through the living room area and rounded the kitchen island, and his right hand immediately reached out to grasp your waist, pulling you flush against him so he could dip his head to capture your lips in a deep kiss. Your fingers lightly grasped at the material of the tank top on his back, and you let out a quiet laugh against his lips.
“You’re gonna burn breakfast.”
Dex effortlessly flipped the egg in the pan without looking, his intense stare still locked on you. A smirk stretched across your lips as you lightly shook your head.
“Show off.”
Dex grinned, his hand slipping down your back and underneath the hem of his shirt you were wearing, his warm callused hand quickly finding your bare ass underneath to give it a playful squeeze.
“You like it when I show off.”
Feeling his stubble brush against your neck as he titled his head to start pressing kisses along your jawline, a shiver trickled down your spine, and your grip on him tightened. Letting out a soft laugh, your hand slid up his muscular forearm to give his bicep a squeeze.
“You know the rules, no ravishing before-”
Dex reached for the ceramic mug sitting on the counter that was still steaming, holding it out for you. He’d heard you shuffling around in the bedroom when you’d gotten up, and had gone ahead and made you a hazelnut cappuccino, which had recently become your new favorite thing.
“I know, I know.”
Your eyes flickered between the mug, which had a carefully crafted leaf in the foam along with a sprinkle of cinnamon, and up at Dex who had a boyish smile on his face, clearly proud of his progress in perfecting the design. It made a smile stretch across your own face, and your heart swelled in your ribcage. When you lifted your hand to touch his face, he instantly leaned into your palm. You gently caressed the scar on his right cheek while looking up at him.
“Have I told you how much I love you, lately?”
Dex let out a deep exhale through his nose, dipping his head to press his forehead against yours, banding his arm tighter around your waist so there wasn’t even a centimeter of space between you.
“Tell me again.”
It was less of a demand and more of a desperate plea, a reassurance he needed to taste on your lips, one you were more than happy to offer.
Faintly brushing your lips against his, you let the promise drip from your tongue like honey.
