practice - bumgorfsandmustard & birdarangx
Gloved fingers moved swiftly over the keyboard, scenarios and possibilities flashing on the screen in front of him. Thanks to Cyborg, the new training program seemed more than promising enough. It was completely compatible to each Titan; it took account of superpowers (or lack thereof), strengths and weaknesses. Sensors could detect your heart rate and adrenaline. Saying that this was ‘state of the art technology’ was kind of putting it simply.
“Okay.” Robin pushed enter, and the computer started to hum. “This new training room can either pair you with an opponent, or it can come up with a random location for us to spar in.” He turned to Starfire and Raven, putting his hands on his hips. “It’ll project a place inside, and the floor will move accordingly.” Robin pushed a button, and a TV overhead displayed the rooftop of the tower. The floor panels started to move, the middle rising to form a perfect rectangle. “The purpose of this is to help with split second decisions. If you walk off of the middle, it’ll feel like you’re falling off of the tower.”
Hopefully.
“Acting on a whim is important in combat. The team in general is already really good with fighting under pressure, but a little more practice never hurts anyone.” Robin smiled, pointing over his shoulder with his thumb. “I say you’re both good candidates to test it out.”
...And they were the only Titans who seemed interested right now.
“You can either fight against a holographic enemy, or train against each other. Up to you both.”
