send 🌿 to accidentally get caught under the mistletoe with my muse.
junseo only knows what mistletoe is, and what it means, because of his fathers. his first christmas with them, he'd watched jihoon practically chase minchul around the house with a handful of leaves, and had been more than confused when each time he was rewarded with a kiss. it had taken a few more days before junseo had plucked up the courage to ask what was going on, and when jihoon had explained it to him... he'd thought it was kind of stupid, honestly.
he's stood in some café, waiting for his and jihoon's drinks. he isn't sure when he willingly became the resident drink fetcher, but he'd made a passing comment about getting a latte on his way home, and had received a frantic text from his father asking him to get him a london fog too. junseo doesn't have a clue what that is, and he can only hope the barista makes the right thing.
the place is pretty quiet. not that junseo's surprised, it's getting pretty late. other than a few patrons seated further inside the café, the only other person is a young woman who seemingly is also waiting for a drink. with nothing better to do, junseo finds himself glancing at her. she's pretty. tall, too. almost as tall as him, he'd guess. his age, maybe. perhaps a little younger. under any other circumstance, he might have approached her to ask for her name or her number. but he has a job to do for jihoon, and he isn't looking for a new hook up right now, anyway.
he isn't fazed when she looks up from her phone and finds him watching her. it's not like they're likely to ever cross paths again. but he offers her the tiniest of smiles, a move wholly out of character for him. maybe his defences are lowered because she's pretty, or maybe he's just feeling uncharacteristically nice that day. he doesn't say anything, just gestures up at the mistletoe hanging from the ceiling with a nod of his head. if she wants to play along with the silly tradition, he isn't going to say no. who would be mad about kissing a pretty stranger? but if she doesn't, it's no harm to him or his self-esteem. it's whatever. he's only waiting for a coffee, after all.
