I have a question for you about the liquid latex: is there a good, quick, minimally painful way to get it off? Every time I've done it while it looks fantastic (I use your tutorials!) it takes ages to get off and I have to scrub my skin raw. Which, at the end of a long con day, is obviously not awesome haha. Any tips?
ooc: this is interesting. I normally don’t really have a problem. I actually usually have the opposite problem... where all my latex is peeling up before the con is over. Just make sure that you peel the bulk of it off while it’s dry. Latex is similar to rubber and hence is a little water resistant. I usually get the bulk of it off and toss it and then proceed into a nice hot shower where I gently rub the rest of it off with my fingers. It tends to roll and pull. (you can test this just by letting it gunk up on your fingers and then rubbing it off with your other fingers until it balls up and falls off.) *You might be allergic to it. Just an FYI, because that’s possible. I have this problem with band-aids and double sided tape sometimes because I have an allergy to the adhesive part of medical adhesive tape. i don’t break out or feel anything weird when it’s on. It just makes my skin really sensitive when I try to remove it and it inevitably becomes a huge painful problem that sometimes takes a layer or two of my skin with it. *try switching your latex brand maybe? Different brands are sometimes a little easier to work with because they have different consistencies. I’ve actually learned that it’s easier to get latex off if your layers are thicker too. (this does become problematic when you’re trying to do the make up though because poking holes results in thicker edges and awkward wounds*
I absolutely adore your punk lucifer- will he be added to redbubble soon?
Yeah I’ll add him and Charlie soon! Keep your eyes peeled!
