The popularity of the series “bùp-pay-săn-ní-wâat” or “บุพเพสันนิวาส” in Thai is a television series that is currently trending on the Thai drama series that has many viewers fascinated with the story.
Set in the period when Ayutthaya was still a flourishing empire, the city of Ayutthaya has not failed to make a visit to the UNESCO Heritage site even more interesting by offering visitors a chance to dress like the people of old and take some really great pictures among the ruins of this ancient city.
You can rent these colorful old costumes and dresses just outside the site entrances for around THB200 a set. You can find these shops renting the costumes around Wat Maha Tat and Wat Chaiwatthanaram among the most popular. There is no time limit for renting these clothes but people normally take around an hour or two to finish their photo sessions.
Entrance to these historical sites are THB50 per entry to each site. A small price to pay considering that they have done a remarkable job of paving the walk routes around the sites so that you now no longer need to step on uneven and muddy grounds when it rains!
