Huh, that came faster than I thought.

Probably cause I got this entire week off due to thanksgiving break. So here Ifritmon, Duskmon + Vritramon. Loved the fire as you can tell. Decided to do a background for this one.

Embermon

A strangely developed in training digimon supposedly born from data from the 'AncientGreymon' line. Whether it's claim is true or not is difficult to say, given it's nervous nature, but it shows a determination to help others that is rare in such young digimon. It uses its underdeveloped wings to throw its feathers as embers at enemies, with its special attack 'Feather Flare'. When cornered, it will use it's 'Smokey Shout' attack to cough up a smoke screen and turn tail while the opponent is distracted.

God, I love this thing's design so much

BurningGreymon / Vritramon, whatever you want to call it is just such a peak design. It's like a phoenix and a dragon fused into one and got equipped with armor, a Greymon helmet, and a pair of gatling guns in the shape of diamonds that also act like shield.

Apparently, it's meant to be based on the dragon god "Vritra" who's meant to be the enemy of Indra or something. I'm not very familiar with the lore or how it relates to the character design (I'm hoping it is a respectful reference).

But on its own, I just find this Digimon insanely cool to look at.

It's like if they took the design of Megaman Gregar and Megaman Falzar from the Battle Network 6 games and fused them into one and then covered it in flames.

And that just appeals so much to me because I'm always a sucker for armors and for humanoid characters with animalistic traits, particularly claws.

I could just look at this guy forever!

Definitely my number 1 favorite Digimon design.

(Also, if anyone is familiar with the Vritra lore and would like to share any interesting detail about it and/or how it could possibly be associated with this Digimon, by all means, be my guest.)
