@burnthewoods didn’t ask for it but Kat wanted Auntie Hilda

“So you mean to tell me, with all the shit that’s going on, nobody has filled out a police report about this?! Any of this?!” Arms flail as she paces before the blonde woman, dark curls flying every time she whirls on her heel as the books on the shelves nearby shudder in her anger. Thankfully there were no customers, since it was so close to closing time at the bookstore, and her orange familiar watches his witch closely as her boots click against the floor almost frantically. “I could kill them!” she stops only for a second to shoot a pointed look to her aunt and her familiar. 

“I’m not gonna, but I want to,” she deadpans before gesturing to the door for emphasis. “What the hell kinda town is Greendale if asshole jocks are physically assaulting someone a third of their size and a man gets to beat the shit out of his teenage son?! It’s not right Aunt Hildie!”

Some headcanons I worked out with @burnthewoods​ last night:

Hilda was the midwife that helped Katrina and her mother get away from the Church of Night the day Katrina was born. 

Hilda and Katrina’s mother kept in touch after Edward passed and when the two of them moved to Riverdale via letters under different pen names. 

Katrina (over time) has gotten to the point where if she’s frustrated, she immediately goes to Hilda and starts pacing, raging about whatever’s upsetting her and Hilda gives her tea and lots of hugs and calls her pet names.

Hilda suggests gardening when she’s frustrated

Katrina says she’ll start her own fight garden

Hilda’s the FIRST auntie Katrina goes to with problems and/or frustrations because she needs that sweet, calming influence.

The two of them like to team up in the bookstore if someone’s picking on someone smaller than them on their watch.

They might be planning to ‘teach’ a certain someone a lesson about hitting their kids.

Katrina will fight literally anyone who tries to harm Auntie Hilda and that’s the tea.
