detective pikachu spoilers scroll past if you must
i noticed something with the girl with psyduck (sorry forgot her name):
at the start of the movie Tim encounters her in the way you find characters that'll give you quests in some videogames, she has a fancy entrance, easily disinguishable clothes and over-the-top way of talking (i dont remember exactly what she said in the entrance, but it sounded weird for someone in real life talking but perfect for an NPC), and tells you what she needs. Of course, Tim could have just ignored the favor and moved on but decided to take the quest. As the movie continues, you can tell her development as her talking becomes slightly more natural and clothing becomes less formal, which is pretty much her going from NPC to party member.
idk if that was on purpose but if it was its a very nice detail.
