2015 Business NYE Resolutions for Supernova PR
My 3 company NY Resolution Goals for Supernova PR:
I think it’s the natural evolution of any business owner to create end of the year evaluations of their company to assess what plans of actions worked, and juxtaposingly, which ones did not yield favorable results. Each year I’ve done this, I’ve been able to come back even stronger the following year by avoiding costly mistakes or poor business decisions. My first goal next year is to properly identify and work with clients who fall under Supernova PR’s Ideal Client Profile only. A great deal of business time is wasted chasing clients who either don’t have the budget for events, or are not on par with the types of events and branding we’re looking to grow into. By creating an ideal client profile, you limit who you are targeting for business, in an effort to work smarter, not harder. Similar to dating in that we don’t tend to date anyone and everyone, but by slimming down what we’re looking for in the selection, we are more likely to find exactly what it is we want, which creates happy results.
My second goal would be to work with clients building events that effect positive social change. Gone are the days where the Gatsby-esque styled parties are all the rage. Studies have shown that people are putting greater emphasis and importance on “havingness" and “meaningness,” which means events that are enjoyable while also contributing to the betterment of the world are gaining traction, and I could not be happier. In an effort to pay it forward, creating events that raise funds and awareness for social issues is an important direction I’m putting my company in, full steam.
Lastly, I am charging more for my company services. It seems counter-intuitive amidst the economic ebb and flow of the current market, especially in juxtaposition with most of my contemporaries who are charging less and less for said services, however, I stand behind what we do and we’re one of the best companies to create uniquely remarkable branded and social events. While other companies might be charging less than what they used to for event planning and branding services, Supernova PR’s work has gotten increasingly better and more elite. Competitive markets are driven by those who move forward and charge what they’re worth, which is exactly what Supernova PR will be doing in 2015.
