Swifties and Gaylors and Larries

I've been thinking a LOT lately about Larry as I navigate the Swiftie fandom and Gaylors.

No secret that I was a Larrie for years. A "big Larrie" even at one point. I'm not any longer, but I haven't entirely figured out what I do think about Harry & Louis' previous relationship. I'm over Harry entirely, for reasons stated long ago, but I can't quite balance what I used to think about him with who he is now AND who Taylor says he was at 18 (which is about when I started paying attention).

I recognize that I'm experiencing cognitive dissonance, I'm not stupid, but people that can look at baby Harry and baby Louis and not think they were in a relationship - honestly I don't see how! Maybe they weren't, but you can't deny it sure as shit looked like it.

Kinda the same with Kaylor except that I don't think it was ever anything beyond friendship. But doing a full magazine shoot that looked like they were on a honeymoon - yeah, even though I never believed it, that certainly raised my eyebrows a bit and I can easily see how some may have been validated in their thinking. Imagine that photoshoot with Harry & Louis in the midst of Larry fever. My GOD!

But what is really bothering me is how intrusive I was, that we were. I had no business doing that, even if most the information I found was "publicly available." Not everyone knows how to find that stuff and the fact that I did wasn't really an excuse to go after it OR publicize what I found (and likely with completely wrong interpretations).

I also believed some people who weren't being honest and I regret that a great deal.

So if anyone still cares, I'm publicly apologizing for that.

But, as I watch the Swifties talk about Haylor and name songs I'd never heard of as allegedly about Harry, it just doesn't sound like the Harry I've thought he was all along. But are the songs about someone else? Or have I been wrong all along? I fear the second one makes the most logical sense.

I don't know and I'm trying to determine how much I care. I suppose mostly because I still adore Louis 100% and this affects some of what I thought about him all along too (not much though. After being generally "off" immediately after 1D, he's been pretty much who I expected him to be - or better than that - since then. Not so with H).

Anyway, this is me (trying) to figure out what I think and making it everyone else's business.

I just wish we could get some clarity on what the fuck was really going on with 1D from 2013 to 2015. Because it was a mess, no question about that from any of us. And I do think that information would clear up a LOT of confusion in the fandom.

But that, I believe, will be a mystery we just have to live with forever.
