It will ALWAYS be funny to me when someone learning Japanese hits that switch point. You know the one.

You've spent so long fearing kanji, silently hoping that everything will be in hiragana 'cause that's so much easier to read. Kanji is scary! There's so many!! And they can have multiple readings!!

But then. You study hard. You learn your kanji. You put in the work. You got this.

And then you see a paragraph. A paragraph that the you of the past would have delighted in. It's in only hiragana. The one that's so much easier to read.

And you just wanna lay your head on your desk and give up. This would be so much easier with kanji...
